摘要： A vapor chamber having improved heat transfer capacity by efficiently returning the working fluid to the evaporating portion is provided. A hollow flat container 2 is formed by a base member 4 and a lid 3 closing an opening of the base member. Phase-changeable working fluid is held in the container, and fins 9 are arranged in the container to transmit heat of a heat generating object between the bottom plate of the base member and the lid. The fins are densely juxtaposed on an evaporating portion in comparison with the other fins juxtaposed on the outside of the evaporating portion.

摘要： A heat pipe having a wick structure for efficiently returning working fluid to an evaporating portion is provided. The heat pipe comprises a container 2 sealed at its both ends, a working fluid encapsulated in the container, and a wick structure 10 covering an inner face of the container. The wick structure 10 includes a porous wick 11 of a sintered metal powder, and a fiber wick 12 buried in the porous wick. A capillary pressure of the fiber wick 12 is weaker than that of the porous wick 11, and a pressure loss of the fiber wick 12 is smaller than that of the porous wick 11.

摘要： An emergency cooling system for cooling an object certainly and rapidly in case a temperature of the object is accidentally raised abnormally. A loop thermosyphon is formed by connecting an evaporating portion with a condensing portion through a vapor pipe and a return pipe in a manner to form a cyclic conduit. A condensable working fluid circulates within the loop thermosyphon to be evaporated by a heat of the cooling object at the evaporating portion, and to be condensed at the condensing portion to radiate the heat conducted from the cooling object. A switching valve is disposed on the return pipe to selectively allow the working fluid in a liquid phase to be returned from the condensing portion to the evaporating portion. Heat transfer pipes to which the heat of the cooling object is conducted are arranged in the evaporating portion. Heat transfer protrusions are formed on an inner wall of the heat transfer pipe to penetrate through dews of the working fluid, and a preheating portion to which the heat of the cooling object is conducted is formed within a portion of the return pipe connected to the heat transfer pipe.
