摘要： A full-face mask system for delivery of a supply of gas at positive pressure to a patient for medical treatment includes a shroud, a cushion module adapted to form a seal with the patient's nose and mouth, an elbow, and headgear. The cushion module includes a frame and a cushion. The frame includes an opening that releasably receives a distal end of the elbow with a snap-fit, wherein an inner edge of the opening and the distal end of the elbow together form a retention structure to retain the elbow to the frame. The elbow has an exterior surface rotatable relative to a bearing surface formed on an inner circumferential surface of the opening, the elbow having an annular protrusion that abuts the frame of the cushion module when the distal end of the elbow is fully inserted into the opening. The retention structure maintains engagement between the shroud and the frame.

摘要： The invention relates to a water heater comprised of a cylindrical tank 18 which has a central flue 20 that is mounted with the cylinder axis 40 vertical. The water heater further includes a gas burner 22 provided the base of the tank 18, which burns a gaseous fuel so as to discharge heated gases up through the central flue 20 from the base to the top of the tank 18. A housing 12 surrounds the exterior of the tank and is spaced away from the domed top 34 and side walls of the tank 18, to thereby define a generally annular cylindrical space 36 between the radially outer surface of the tank 18 and the radially inner surface of the housing 12. The annular space 36 is in gas flow communication with the upper end of the flue 20 and is provided with a discharge outlet 48 located at or adjacent the lower most end of the tank 18. In use heated gases pass up the central flue 20, over the top 34 of the tank 18, and down the annular space 36 to thereby heat both the radially inner and the radially outer surfaces of the tank 18 prior to exhausting from the heater.

摘要： A mechanism for releasing a mask from a patient's face includes a frame part including a male connection and a frame engagement portion for engaging a cooperating portion on a frame of the mask. A headgear part includes a female connection that is adapted to receive the male connection when the frame part is inserted into the headgear part, and a headgear engagement portion for engaging a cooperating portion on headgear of the mask. A cord has one end secured to the male connection, such that when the cord is pulled by the patient the male connection disengages from the female connection and consequently the frame part separates from the headgear part releasing the mask from the patient's face. A method of releasing a mask from a patient's face includes pulling a cord away from a frame of the mask to release a latch of the mask frame from a latch receiving portion of a headgear of the mask to release the latch from the latch receiving portion.
