摘要： A method/apparatus for sharing a resource of plural video/audio/data signal receivers broadcast by an emitter among a plurality of video/audio/data processing Set Top Units using a Master/Slave protocol. The first STU connected to a receiver is the Master, which has priority over a later-connected slave. An STU has access to all services if there is a free receiver. In the absence of free receivers, an STU can access all the services currently accessed by the other STUs, and the services on the transport streams carrying the services currently viewed by the other STUs. A resource sharing apparatus comprises a dedicated for each STU for displaying resources available to the corresponding STU. The controller indicates Slave status for resources that can be provided for the corresponding STU and a special indication for resource that is currently used by a corresponding STU.

摘要： The present invention relates to a method for navigating over documents represented by identifiers displayed on a navigation menu. Each document is associated with a plurality of numerical values characterizing it according to a plurality of criteria. Each identifier of a document is placed at a position dependent on a part of the parameter values associated with this document. The whole set of the documents is subdivided into a given number of regions. The sums of the values associated with all the documents of a region and corresponding to a certain number of criteria are virtually equal for each region. The outer contour of the regions is displayed so as to enable its selection. The selection of a region triggers the display in full screen mode of all of the identifiers of the selected region. The invention also relates to a display device capable of executing the navigation method.

摘要： The invention relates to a method of control of a target device, by a client device, in a heterogeneous network containing at least one bus according to a first given protocol, and at least a second bus according to a second protocol. A gateway between the buses provides centralized means of control of devices that are connected to the buses and that are able to act as target devices. These centralized control means are used to control the target devices of each bus by using the control standard specific to the bus. These centralized control means are made accessible to the devices able to act as clients via a server on the gateway according to a standard communication protocol. This method includes at least the following steps: a conditional transfer step for transferring, from the gateway to the client device, an application for controlling the target device; an execution step for the execution of this control application by the client device when the application is transferred, involving a direct dialogue between the two devices, client and target, according to the control standard of the bus to which they are connected.
