The chamber includes a rear valve located at the rear end to permit flow into the chamber and substantially block flow out of the chamber and a gas port proximate to the rear end for the admission of compressed gas into the chamber. The module includes an anchoring system, such as an integrated ballast tank, a connecting system mounted on the outer surface of the module by which the module may be detachably connected in parallel with other such modules in a side to side manner to form a barge or scalable wave generator. 摘要： A system and method for dewatering an area in which a catch basin is situated within the area to collect water and conduit conveys the collected water to an elongated discharge chamber having a muzzle at a distal end in communication with a desired ouffall body and a substantially closed proximal end. Compressed air released into the proximal end of the discharge chamber forcibly discharges water out of the discharge chamber via the muzzle and into the outfall body to dewater the area. A vent permits escape of air as the discharge chamber fills. Backflow prevention valves maintain discharge out of the muzzle and prevent any water from the outfall body from flowing back into the discharge chamber.

摘要： A watercraft is adapted to mount and support one or more wave cannons for the generation of high volume waves in a body of water, including natural beach environments lacking reliable surf. A wave cannon is an elongated tubular chamber having a closed rear end and an open front end, an anchor, a supply of compressed air, and a control valve for admitting compressed air into the elongated chamber. When mounted on a watercraft, only the interior of the chamber is exposed to corrosive water, reducing maintenance. The simple mechanics of the wave cannon further reduce expense. The watercraft may be positioned and moored at a desired offshore or lakeshore location with the open end of the chamber oriented to a shoreline. When compressed gas is discharged through the chamber, a large volume wave is generated that breaks on the shoreline.

摘要： A wave actuated gaming wheel is described as a device for entertainment. In a basic form, the invention includes a wave generator, a wave tank or pool, a wave energy captured device, and a specially adapted gaming wheel. The wave energy capture device is mounted in the path of the wave, positioned so as to interact with an oncoming wave. Paddles, cups, or pontoons, and other supporting structure are coupled or fixed to the gaming wheel to capture energy from the wave and to transfer it to the gaming wheel in the form of rotary motion. When the wave has passed, the transfer of energy terminates. Friction, energy losses, or a brake cause the gaming wheel eventually to come to a stop. As with conventional gaming wheels or “wheels of fortune,” the circumference of the wheel may be divided into a plurality of distinct gaming partitions with symbols that represent a certain possibility for a winning outcome. Players or observers seek to predict which gaming symbol might fall along a pay line when the gaming wheel stops.

In general, techniques are disclosed for analyzing an image with one or more feature detectors to identify features in the image. An alignment or position associated with one or more features identified in the image may be used to determine a proper orientation for the image frame. The image can then be rotated to the proper orientation. It may also be determined if a scene depicted in the image is properly aligned in the rotated image orientation. If not, alignment information associated with the identified features may be utilized to straighten the depicted scene.

摘要： Disclosed is a wave pool for creating multiple surf-able waves when a wave generating device forces water into a first end of the wave pool. The wave pool includes a first deep area adjacent the end of the wave pool having the wave generating device. It is followed by a first artificial reef that creates a first shallow area that causes a swell created by the wave generating device to become a first surf-able wave. This is followed by a second deep area that causes the first surf-able wave to revert to a swell. A second artificial reef creates a second shallow area causing the swell to become a second surf-able wave. A basin and swash area follows the second artificial reef for dissipating the remaining energy of the second surf-able wave. An optional set of edge shallows can extend substantially the length of the wave pool to create a surf-able curling wave along each side of the wave pool.
