    • A clip is adapted to connect a ceiling grid strip or the like with a curtain track or the like. The clip is capable of selective rotation with respect to the grid strip of 90°, without becoming disengaged from the grid strip. The grid strip is generally rectangular and has a pair of diagonally opposed upper grip portions each being provided with inwardly facing slots and each being affixed to the top of the clip at the extreme corners. A pair of oppositely disposed lower grip portions are provided on the lower side of the clip to retain a track. In one variation of the invention, the lower grip portions are provided on a separate piece which is attached to the clip top with a swivel post so that there is a more extensive and more reliable means for changing orientation. In another variation, the clip top has a downwardly depending extension and means to retain some other element are provided at the bottom of the extension. Such means may be a flange.

    • An intravenous fluid container carrier including an elongated telescopic device having an outer tubular shell within which is positioned an extension rod spring loaded to retract the rod into the tubular shell, an anti-rotation device to prevent rotation of the tubular shell with respect to the extension rod, and a rod locking device to hold the extension rod locked in any position between full extension out of the shell and full retraction within the shell. The locking device is releasable by a spring loaded actuation collar surrounding the shell proximate to the lower end thereof. The upper end of the extension rod is formed with a loop for suspension from a ceiling track mounted carrier, from a wall mounted bracket, or from a floor supported stand or carrier. A pair of vertically spaced collars are locked to the tubular shell at the top and near the bottom, each collar having pivotally secured thereto four arms for carrying an intravenous fluid container, each arm being pivotable between a detented use position extending outward away from the tubular shell and a detented storage position extending closely parallel to the tubular shell.

    • A locking wheeled locking carrier including a pair of identical molded half carriage parts each of which carries a pair of canted wheels to support the carrier within a track, and a pendulum part pivoted between the carriage halves and extending downward through the bottom slot in the ceiling track for suspending a desired article. The two carriage halves are slidably interfitted with one another for lateral movement toward and away from one another within the ceiling track, and the pendulum pivot extends slidably through both carriage halves. In the vertical pendulum position a camming action exerted by the pendulum on the two carriage halves forces the carriage halves laterally apart from one another so that their outside surfaces engage the ceiling track slot walls and frictionally lock the carriage in position. When the pendulum is pivoted longitudinally in either direction relative to the carriage halves and the running length of the ceiling track the lateral camming action exerted by the pendulum on the carriage halves is released so that the outer surfaces of the carriage halves disengage from the ceiling track slot wall side surfaces and the carriage is free to travel through the track, it being relockable in its new position by again moving the pendulum to its vertical position.

    • A shower curtain useable with a shower stall that does not include a front sill or wall of the type that normally cooperates with a shower curtain or shower door to seal the front opening into the shower stall. The shower curtain includes a flexible sheet member 12 that is attachable in an upper region thereof to an upper supporting member adjacent the front opening into the shower stall to permit movement of the flexible sheet member 12 between an extended orientation closing the front opening and a collapsed orientation permitting access into the shower stall through the front opening. Elongate side regions or panels of the sheet member include fastening members for cooperating with fastening members on adjacent side walls of the shower stall to close the opposed sides of the front opening into the shower stall. Weights disposed transversely along the lower region of the sheet member being spaced upwardly from a lower bottom panel of the sheet member intended to engage the floor of the shower stall. Most preferably a moveable panel section is provided in the front panel of the shower curtain and this panel section can be at least partially separated from adjacent regions of the curtain to provide communication between the inside and outside of a shower stall when the curtain is in its extended orientation closing the front opening into the shower stall.

    • A hospital curtain track system utilizing a track switch which permits the use of a single privacy curtain selectively for each of a pair of adjacent bed cubicles. The switch and tracks are of two types, one type being a recessed system installable flush with the underside of and as an integral part of an original ceiling installation, and another type being surface mounted installable upward against the underside of an existing ceiling. Self splicing cubicle tracks provide easy assembly and versatility in space planning. One track switch unit between each two bed environment splices directly with the cubicle track and eliminates extra connecting parts including one complete track leg resulting in minimal installation time and expense. The switch utilizes a pull-chain actuated toggle for shifting a horizontally shiftable switch section into alignment with the desired curtain track. Each curtain carrier utilizes a pair of canted wheels which in one embodiment are continuously engaged with and drive one another, both wheels being always engaged with the track to provide a low friction smooth riding non-jammable carrier.

    • An open mesh is adapted for use as the upper portion of a cubicle curtain. The open mesh has a major portion with openings, and a narrow and a wide selvedge. The open mesh major portion has said integral narrow knitted selvedge on an edge opposed to said integral wide knitted selvedge. The selvedges have a substantially finer mesh than the open mesh major portion. The open mesh is knitted in multiple adjoining panels. Adjoining panels are connected with in order a first narrow selvedge, an intermediate strip comprising a tear thread, a waste strip and an open mesh relief band, and a second narrow selvedge. The selvedges are thus made integral with the major open cell portion and are ready without further manufacturing steps (except for separating from a roll and for sizing) for the insertion of grommets in the wide selvedge and the sewing to a vision-resistant fabric at the narrow selvedge with the narrow selvedge retaining a straight outer edge due to use of the relief band during sizing on a pin frame.
