    • In-line razor-blade shaving devices feature two sets of razor blade strips pointing outwardly in opposite directions. The devices are designed for safely and rapidly shaving hair from large body portions such as legs and arms. Each device features an elongated handle arranged in line with an elongated bi-directional razor blade head. Each set of razor blade strips in the head may be provided with one or more straight razor-sharp edges, which point in the same direction, while the blade edges of the two sets point outwardly away from one another, generally in opposite directions. The edges of blade strips of the two sets may be arranged in one common working plane, or each set may be in its own working plane, with the planes at an angle to one another. The working planes are defined by the elongated front and rear guard surfaces of the blade-edge guarding system on the face of the razor head. These guard surfaces contact a user's skin before and after the razor-sharp edges to help ensure safe shaving. The bi-directional head may be constructed in a variety of ways, including in a molded form, in an assembled form, as a replaceable bi-directional cartridge, and as two separate uni-directional razor blade heads arranged in close proximity to one another. These in-line bi-directional razor blade shaving devices represent a new family of wet shaving razor devices. They each can be used with a minimum of effort by sliding the razor blade head back and forth along the skin to be shaved, with shaving occurring in both directions. Some embodiments have two distinct working planes on the head of the shaving device. To use them, the user's wrist rotates at the end of each stroke (or at the beginning of the next stroke), to bring the other working plane, not currently on the skin, into engagement with the skin for the next stroke in the opposite direction.

    • A manual tool useful for cutting, scraping, deburring, marking and the like hand operations, is formed of an elongated handle shaped to fit within the human hand. The handle has a forward end formed with a socket for receiving a conventional, wafer-like, machine tool hard cutter insert. The insert fits within a socket which exposes a forward end of the insert and portions of the insert side edges for contact with a work piece. The insert may be fastened within the socket within the handle by means of a suitable, conventional screw fastener or the like. The insert may be pre-selected from a conventional insert having a conventional circular, square, diamond-shaped, hexagonal shape, triangular and the like peripheral edge and the socket is formed so that similar size, but different peripheral edge shaped inserts may be replaced, one for another, as desired. Thus, new or used conventional machine tool cutter inserts may be utilized in the tool at the user's option.

    • A manually operated, finger-manipulatable non-electric hair trimming device for shaving nostril hair, ear hair or the like, includes a head structure sized to fit within a small body cavity, such as a person's nostril or ear cavity, which includes a flexible razor blade strip. The head structure has a base portion and a curved guard portion, which preferably has first and second ends which are attached to the base portion. A finger grip portion is connected to the base portion to allow precise manual manipulation of the hair trimming device. The head structure further has a thin, elongated narrow razor blade strip with a razor sharp first edge portion, which may be a serrated edge with razor-sharp notches such as V-slots or may be a conventional straight edge. Alternatively, two razor-sharp edges, one serrated and one straight, may be provided. The razor blade strip preferably has an inverted U-shape, made by flexing it to extend substantially along the curved guard portion of the head structure, which may serve as the blade strip platform. The guard may have fingers which extend beyond the razor's edge with blade-exposing recesses therebetween.

    • Several single-head bi-directional razor devices and systems are disclosed. Each has a narrow, elongated bi-directional razor head attached or attachable to a transversely extending hand grip. The razor head may be constructed as a disposable cartridge if desired. Two pairs of narrow, razor blade strips are positioned within the head, with one pair of blades extending in one direction and the other pair generally extending in an opposite direction. Both sets of blades extend along the length of the head. The user may move the razor head in one direction for contacting one pair of blades against the user's skin for cutting hair and then, without lifting or tilting or repositioning the hand grip, move the handle in the opposite direction so that the other pair of blades cuts hair during reverse movement of the razor. In other words, the head remains engaged upon the skin for cutting hair in both directions. In some embodiments, the razor head is rigidly attached to the handle. In other embodiments, the head may move relative to the handle upon pivots or shell bearings. Several different constructions and classes of assembled bi-directional razor head structures are disclosed. They differ from one another in terms of shape or size of the head, and in the way the blade strips are captured, held and oriented within the head. The heads may be molded or assembled structures.

    • Several small-size mustache shaving devices, each grippable between a user's forefinger and thumb, for enabling the user to precisely shave and edge his own mustache to a desired shape, and related trimming accessories, are disclosed. Each device is lightweight and has as an elongated narrow body having a forward head portion and an integral offset rear fingertip grip portion. Each device has a small elongated razor blade strip mounted upon the head portion. The blade's razor sharp edge, which in some designs is straight and in other designs is curved, extends laterally outwardly from the head portion. The razor-sharp blade edge of the device is placed by the user against his skin adjacent the periphery of the desired mustache line and then, through fingertip movement, shaves and shapes the hairs of the user's mustache. The several embodiments of the shaving device include guarded, blunted and assembled blade designs, all-metal designs, and designs featuring a symmetrical appearance. An optional removable cover fits over the head portion and encases the blade sharp edge and is frictionally held upon the head portion for manual removal and replacement. An optional removable trimming cage fits over the head portion for enabling a user to trim his mustache hairs to any one of several chosen lengths.
