摘要： The present invention relates to cross-linked synthetic polymers based on acrylic acid and its derivatives, which have a high absorption capacity and an improved absorption rate for water, aqueous solutions and body fluids, to a process for their production by radical polymerization under such conditions that polymers are obtained which have a porous structure and a swelling degree-dependent particle density so that the polymer particles are floatable in water or aqueous liquids. The present invention further relates to the use of these polymers for the absorption and/or retention of water and for the release of water and/or an active substance solution to a surrounding medium. The porous structure of the polymers is formed by nitrogen dispersed in the polymer, with at least one azo compound being added to the aqueous monomer solution as polymerization initiator and blowing agent, which azo compound has a half-time of at least 10 hours at a temperature of 30.degree. to 120.degree. 摘要： The invention relates to a process for the production of absorbers for water, aqueous solutions and body liquids, the absorbers consisting of at least two components A and B, whereby component A is at least a water-swellable synthetic polymer or copolymer, and component B is at least a natural or synthetic compound being present at normal temperature as a pourable powder which is highly or at least partially soluble, in water, or as a liquid. The present invention is characterized by the fact that component B is added in the form of a powder, a liquid or as a solution to component A during the end phase of the production process thereof after a polymer reaction degree of 90%, preferably 95% is attained, that is is mixed with the polymer gel of component A and, in order to obtain a powdery, pourable end product, is dried, if necessary, and ground. The invention further relates to the use of said absorbers for the absorption and/or retention of water and/or aqueous solutions and for the subsequent controlled release of water and the substances contained in the swollen polymer gel and soluble in the aqueous medium (component B) to other bodies, preferably to plants, as nutrients for various cultures, and in the controlled dosage of nutrients and drugs.

摘要： An absorption material is produced by applying directly to a support in the presence of liquid an absorbent which is at least partially water-softened, and drying to remove the liquid so as to leave the absorbent directly on the support. The support may be fibrous or particulate like sawdust or it may be a textile sheet or paper. The absorbent may be an acrylic based polymer. Because the absorbent directly contacts the support the product has increased absorptive capacity and is stronger, making it especially useful as a diaper, tampon, sanitary napkin, surgical dressing, battery separator and/or filter for cigarette smoke or for liquids.
