摘要： A four-ply handled carton for packaging a plurality of cans or bottles such as beer or soft drinks or the like is disclosed. The four-ply handle is formed by the use of three top handle panel sections used in conjunction with a fourth top handle panel section which is formed partially out of two of the top handle panel sections. The four-ply construction permits added strength to be incorporated into the top section of the carton in the vicinity of the normal handle openings used with a carton such as is disclosed in the subject application.

摘要： An improved carton for packaging a plurality of multiple articles having a chime formed on one end thereof. The improved carton has a series of spacing means or ribs formed on at least one of the panels of the carton with the spacing means serving to abut a portion of the chimes of the multiple articles packaged within the carton. The spacing means serve to protect the exterior portion of the carton from becoming disfigured by the chimes of the multiple articles packaged within making circular indentations on the interior face and coming through to the exterior portion of the carton whenever several cartons are stacked on top of each other. The spacing means utilized serves to separate a major portion of the chimes from coming in contact with the underside of the panel thereby providing a much improved appearance of the advertising matter printed on the exterior of the package which is important to the sale of the package contents. The spacing means forming the ribbed carton may be formed in the preferred embodiment by a series of scorelines formed on the exterior face of at least one of the panels of the carton, and the scorelines may be formed in various patterns as desired by the customer and may also be formed in more than one panel of the carton, dependent upon the positioning of the cans in the carton and the types of cans that are to be packaged by the carton.

摘要： An improved wrap-around beverage carrier which provides for total separation between adjacent containers in the carrier is provided in the subject invention. In the preferred embodiment the carrier is designed to hold twelve cans of a given product and is designed in a one-piece configuration. The novel partitioning arrangement within the carrier permits total separation to prevent cans from coming in contact with each other during shipping, thereby avoiding abrasion marks on printed aluminum beverage cans. The novel divider structure is hinged from an interior partitioned panel and has a novel configuration of the panel wherein the novel configuration allows the partition to be used for total separation without requiring additional partition structures to be placed within the carrier.

摘要： A new and novel display carton for displaying a plurality of uprightly positioned articles within the carton. The display carton is formed in a one-piece construction and has an integral advertising panel formed at the rear portion of the carton with the advertising panel being rigidly fastened to the folded back panel of the carton. By the use of an elongated slot in the folded back panel, a paper-to-paper bond is obtainable between the back of the advertising panel and the folded back panel to strengthen the connection.
