    • A jack connector (1) is provided for receiving a mating plug (4). The jack connector includes an insulative housing having an upper wall (20), a rear wall (22) and a pair of side walls (23, 24). A receiving space (26) is defined together by the upper wall, the rear wall and the pair of side walls. A rear corner (28) is formed between the upper wall and the rear wall. The rear corner has an inclined face (280) facing the receiving space. The inclined face is used for abutting against an oblique face (402) of a cone end (40) of the mating plug, thereby preventing the plug from moving too inwardly into the receiving space when the plug is inserted into the receiving space. Thus, an engagement of a front face of the housing of the jack connector with the plug is prevented when the plug mates with the jack connector. Accordingly, an abrasion/scrape of the front face of the housing of the jack connector by the plug is prevented.

    • Techniques are described for resolving network connectivity. According to an exemplary embodiment, a determination is made whether a first device is included in a portion of a network in which the first device can receive information directed to all devices included within the portion of the network. A first identifier associated with the portion of the network is obtained. A second identifier is assigned to the portion of the network unique to other portions of the network. The first identifier associated with the portion of the network is modified to include the second identifier. The modified first identifier is associated with the first device and the portion of the network. A first symbol identifying the first device can be presented as being connected to a second symbol identifying the portion of the network using the modified first identifier.

    • Methods and apparatus, including computer program products, related to entity name translation. In general, a set of data records including one or more names of one or more entities in a source language is received and candidate translations are generated for the names of the data records. The candidate translations are strings of characters in a target language that has a different orthography than an orthography of the source language. A data repository is queried for records matching the candidate translations. A translation of at least one of the candidate translations is selected based on a comparison of a combination of candidate translations and properties of the source record with the result of the querying the data repository.
