摘要： The resolution-converting method comprises steps of applying an edge-directed interpolation to an input image and producing an intermediate image; converting a sampling rate with respect to the intermediate image and producing an output image having a predetermined resolution; and improving sharpness of the produced output image. The present invention prevents image-quality degradation factors that can occur in the conventional resolution-converting method as well as obtains an output image having a resolution of a desired size.

The automatic white balance control imaging apparatus may include a color space conversion unit converting the input image data into color space data having a chromatic component, a gray region extraction unit extracting a gray region for the input image data based on gray regions for light sources, the gray regions being detected based on plural light sources and a predetermined color checker, a detection unit extracting initial light source information using a color gamut average value and a color gamut center value, and adjusting the initial light source information in order for a chromatic component introduced into the extracted gray region to be excluded, a gain control unit calculating gains to scale the input image data based on the adjusted initial light source information, and controlling a white balance by applying the calculated gains to the input image data.

摘要： A method is provided for reducing occurrence of color fringe errors occurred at the time of carrying out a color filter interpolation and reducing degradation of an image quality. Interpolation of a G channel value in a pixel of the color filter having only R or B channel values is carried out such that a similarity measured between channels based on interpolation results in horizontal and vertical directions are measured, and the G channel interpolation is carried out in a direction where the measured similarity becomes the maximized. However, when the reliability of the measured similarity becomes poor, a final G channel interpolation is carried out using a weighted average value using similarity information of each direction and interpolation results of the horizontal and vertical directions.

The image browsing apparatus includes a data storage unit for storing a plurality of image data; a color temperature calculator for calculating the color temperature of each image and storing the calculated color temperature in the data storage unit; a command input unit for inputting an image browsing mode; and a color temperature browser for classifying images corresponding to the browsing mode using the color temperature as an image search condition and then, browsing the classified images. The method of browsing images includes determining the color temperature of an input image when a browsing mode is input; and browsing images when the color temperature falls within the color temperature range of the browsing mode.

摘要： A method for detecting the illumination color to store the color-compensated image considering the light effect of illumination environments on photographing with a color image input apparatus such as a video camera. The present invention provides a method for finding highlight areas appearing on the objects in the image and obtaining the illumination color resulting from the analysis of the color of the pixels included in those highlight areas. The chromaticity coordinates of the pixels in a highlight area occurring on the uniformly colored object are distributed between the body color of the object and the illumination color. The distribution of those chromaticity coordinates is referred to as the color transition band. The straight lines are approximated on the chromaticity diagram using these color transition bands obtained from highlight areas presenting several uniformly colored objects. The illumination color is determined as the average of the intersections between the lines. In this way, the present invention may reduce the excessive processing time found in the prior art method, providing more reliable information about the illumination color.
