摘要： There is provided a process for increasing the yellowness of polyester polymer particles, preforms, bottles, and concentrates, containing a polyester polymer such as polyethylene terephthalate and copolymers by adding a yellow colorant and reheat agent particles comprising titanium, alloys of titanium, titanium nitride, titanium boride, titanium carbide, or combinations thereof to a melt phase polymerization process for making the polyester polymer to adding any one of the colorant or particles to a polyester polymer.

With the correct choice of chromophoric monomer or mixture of monomers, protection against UV-A radiation or against both UV-A and UV-B radiation can be achieved. With the correct choice of comonomer, copolymers produced as aqueous latex emulsions or as Polyethylene Glycol solutions can also be achieved.

摘要： Disclosed is process for the treatment of cyclopropanecarboxaldehdye (CPCA) which contains crotonaldehyde impurity with a base at elevated temperature to convert the crotonaldehyde to one or more higher boiling compounds followed by distillation to recover CPCA substantially free of crotonaldehyde. This selective reaction may be combined with a distillation to purify CPCA or in combination with the reaction of the CPCA in the treated mixture to produce a CPCA-derivative while avoiding or minimizing the formation of the analogous crotonaldehyde derivative.

摘要： The present invention provides a process for preparing N-(3-amino-4-chlorophenyl) acylamides of Formula I: ##STR1## comprising reacting, in a solvent comprising at least one polar solvent, in the presence of at least one acid acceptor, 1-chloro-2,4-diaminobenzene with at least one acyl chloride of formula I:Cl--X--Rwherein X is --CO-- or --SO.sub.2 --; R is selected from the group C.sub.1 -C.sub.25 alkyl; C.sub.1 -C.sub.25 alkyl substituted with one or more groups selected from C.sub.1 -C.sub.12 alkoxy, aryl, aryloxy and C.sub.5 -C.sub.7 cycloalkyl; aryl; C.sub.5 -C.sub.7 cycloalkyl. The present invention further comprises the step of purifying said N-(3-amino-4-chlorophenyl) acylamides by crystallizing from a non-polar solvent or conducting the reaction in a mixture of at least one polar and at least one non-polar solvent.

摘要： Disclosed is an improved process for preparing 1-chloro-2,4-diaminobenzene by the selective hydrogenation of 1-chloro-2,4-dinitro-benzene wherein the hydrogenation is carried out in the presence of a modified Raney nickel catalyst containing about 70 to 95 weight percent nickel, about 4 to 10 weight percent aluminum, about 0.1 to 4 weight percent molybdenum, and from 0 to about 20 weight percent cobalt. The 1-chloro-2,4-diaminobenzene is useful as an intermediate for disperse dyes and for color photography.
