    • A valve for cryogenic fluids that divides incoming fluid into separate outlets. The valve prevents the inadvertent leakage or reverse flow of fluid through the valve using a swing-type check valve, and may also remove undesirable debris from the fluid. The valve comprises a valve housing and at least one valve actuator. The housing includes an inlet and at least one outlet, and has an inlet chamber and at least one outlet chamber that are adapted to receive fluid from the inlet and deliver the fluid to the outlet. The inlet chamber and the outlet chamber are fluidly coupled by a valve aperture that is defined by a valve seat. The valve actuator cooperates with the valve seat to seal the inlet chamber from the outlet chamber. In one embodiment, the valve includes a check valve that is pivotally mounted in the valve housing to prevent fluid flow from the valve housing through the inlet. In another embodiment, the valve includes a pair of outlets, a pair of outlet chambers and a pair of valve actuators. In a further embodiment, the valve includes a filter that is disposed in the housing between the inlet and the outlets to remove debris from the fluid.

    • In a subrate-multiplexed telecommunication system that handles subchannels of different rates and hence assigns a plurality of time slots within a frame to at least some subchannels, time slots with a frame of a subsrate multiplexed channel are assigned to an individual subchannel arbitrarily, without constraint on the location within the frame of the time slots assigned to the individual subchannel. The only constraint that is observed is that, when switching the signal stream of a subchannel from one subrate-muliplexed signal stream to another, the relative time ordering of the subchannel's signals carried by the subchannel's assigned time slots in the one subrate-multiplexed signal stream is preserved when the subchannel's signals are switched into the subchannel's time slots in the other subrate multiplexed signal stream.

    • A cryogenic valve having a valve seat in the valve body adapted to be closed by a conical seat disc. The seat disc is supported for vertical movement in a seat holder which is carried by an elongated stem that extends through the valve bonnet. The stem and bonnet are sealed by a series of compressed Teflon and brass rings concentric with and between the upper end of the valve bonnet and the stem. The rings are axially compressed between a flange formed in the valve bonnet and a sleeve follower which in turn is secured by a packing nut. The Teflon rings have holes therethrough and/or roughened surfaces to provide improved sealing.

    • An improved bottom entry cryogenic valve, with single piece cast body, that provides for easy and efficient removal of the valve stem and valve seat components without removing the valve body from the fluid circuit. The valve body forms the housing and has a top end, a main body section and a bottom entry end. The main body section has fluid entry and fluid exit openings. A bonnet nut is attached to the valve body top end. A body ring is attached at the bottom entry end. A valve stem extends axially through the bonnet nut, with a top portion exposed with a hand wheel attached thereon. The valve stern has a mid portion, a flange portion and a threaded bottom end located in the main body section of the valve body. The valve stem mid portion supports a valve seal member and a seal nut/bearing. The valve seal member is to prevent fluid from flowing through the valve body when the valve is in a closed position. The seal nut/bearing acts to restrict fluid from entering the top end portion of the valve body. The body ring acts to seal the valve body at the bottom entry end. The valve stem together with valve seal and seal nut/bearing supported thereon may be removed, as a unit, for repair or replacement.

    • The valve is of the type that includes a single operating handle for controlling both the proportioning between hot and cold water flow and also the volume of flow. The valve comprises a body having hot and cold inlet passages and an outlet duct, a ball-shaped control member, a rigid stationary liner receiving the control member and having position limiting tabs associated therewith, and a resilient diaphragm disposed intermediate the liner and valve seat of the body. The liner has a pair of apertures for accommodating a corresponding pair of nipples on the diaphragm which are displaceable toward and away from the inlet passages for controlling the flow of fluid therefrom. The opening of the inlet passages into the seat is constructed to provide a uniform load about the passages for the diagram in the seat.

    • An automated method and apparatus for notifying subscribers of a customer message manager notification system upon changes in some real-time data is disclosed. Subscribers are notified in an order based on some predetermined criteria, such as subscriber level. More specifically, airline customers are notified of changes in airline information which affects their travel plans, as well as other types of notification. This notification can occur via standard communications devices commonly carried by travels such as pagers, two-way pagers, cellular telephones (e.g., via automated voice, call centers), and mobile computers (e.g., via email or a web page). The present invention further provides for notifying selected groups of customers based on a predetermined criteria, such as frequent flyer level, class of service, or price of ticket. Moreover, the invention also provides for receiving a response from a notified customer to update the travel plans for those communications devices that support two-way communication. In this manner, selected groups or individual customers can be given preferential treatment.
