    • In order to develop an electric probe for microsurgery, which is provided in particular in ophthalmology for intraocular treatments of the eye, in such a way that the probe is constructed in a simple manner, can be produced inexpensively, is easy and safe to handle, and at the same time can be used for multiple functions as an illuminated intraocular probe, it is suggested that the electric probe comprises an outer electrode, an inner electrode and a light guide. The inner electrode has a contoured electrode end face and projects out over a front end of the light guide or is embedded in the light guide so as to terminate with it. When the electrodes and light guide are constructed cylindrically, the hollow space remaining between the electrodes and the light guide is provided as a suction channel for sucking out tissue particles, and in various embodiment forms, including an embodiment as an illuminating endoprobe, the electric probe is connected to an operating and controlling device by which pre.-defined, changeable parameter sets which are adapted depending on the probe characteristics can be adjusted and retrieved.

    • The invention is directed to a protective device for electrosurgical probes which are provided particularly in ophthalmology for intraocular treatment of the eye and comprise two electrodes that are arranged coaxial to one another, an insulator being arranged therebetween, and the two electrodes make contact with a connection of a current and voltage device. In order to provide a protective device for the inner electrode that can be built so as to operate in a simple manner, can be produced economically and ensures sufficient safety for operation in surgical procedures, it is proposed that an electrosurgical probe has, in its front portion, a protective device in which an inner electrode and an insulator are held in a protected manner in a reference position by an outer electrode which is movable in the longitudinal axis of the electrosurgical probe. A user releases an electrode tip of the inner electrode in a working position by initiating an axial movement process of the outer electrode. The electrosurgical probe has a handle element for handling the electrosurgical probe and the protective device.

    • An endoprobe for ophthalmic microsurgery for intraocular treatment of the eye and that affords a surgeon good visibility regardless of the distance from the treatment site in the eye. The endoprobe includes a stainless steel cannula enclosing one or more optical fibers and a laser fiber. A distal end of the optical fibers can be closed by a transparent lens-shaped structure such that an illuminating light transmitted through the optical fibers is radiated and transmitted laser light can exit from the laser fiber, or such that the laser fiber is embedded in a transparent shaped element. The laser fiber may have a covering for transporting light. The laser light may be injected directly into the laser fiber and the illuminating light is injected via at least one optical element into the covering of the laser fiber or into the transparent shaped element.
