摘要： In part, the invention relates to an image data collection system. The system can include an interferometer having a reference arm that includes a first optical fiber of length of L1 and a sample arm that includes a second optical fiber of length of L2 and a first rotary coupler configured to interface with an optical tomography imaging probe, wherein the rotary coupler is in optical communication with the sample arm. In one embodiment, L2 is greater than about 5 meters. The first optical fiber and the second optical fiber can both be disposed in a common protective sheath. In one embodiment, the system further includes an optical element configured to adjust the optical path length of the reference arm, wherein the optical element is in optical communication with the reference arm and wherein the optical element is transmissive or reflective.

摘要： Medical guide wire assembly comprising a guide wire having a proximal end and a distal end, at least one physiology parameter sensor, and that the proximal end of the guide-wire is provided with an elongated connector part, having connection electrodes, for insertion into a connector housing provided with an elongated tubing adapted to achieve electrical and mechanical connection to the elongated connector part, the connector housing is in its turn electrically or wirelessly connectable to a physiology monitor. The guide wire is provided with a core wire running essentially along the entire guide wire. A sensor signal processing circuitry is arranged in connection with the physiological sensor and is adapted to generate a processed sensor signal in response of a sensed parameter. The sensor signal processing circuitry comprises a modulation unit arranged to modulate the processed sensor signal and to generate a modulated sensor signal. The assembly comprises exactly two micro-cables that are connected to the sensor signal processing circuitry, the micro-cables run along the guide wire and are connected to the connection electrodes of the connector part, wherein the core wire is actively used when transferring the processed and modulated sensor signal to the connector housing.

摘要： The present invention relates to an extracorporeale interface unit (8), for an intravascular measurement system for measuring a physiological, or other, variable in a living body, being adapted to generate a sensor signal in response of said variable. The interface unit (8) comprises a sensor interface circuitry (6) adapted to interface a sensor wire configured to be inserted into the living body and provided with one or many sensor element(s) at its distal region. The sensor interface circuitry (6) further comprises a measurement unit (9) adapted to generate the measured data of the variable as a sensor signal. The sensor interface circuitry (6) comprises two current source units (CSU1, CSU2) adapted to energize the sensor element(s) via at least two connection points (CP1, CP2, . . . CPn), and a switching unit (10), wherein the switching unit (10) is adapted to alternately switch connection between the current source units (CSU1, CSU2) and at least two of the connection points (CP1, CP2, . . . CPn), using a preset switching frequency having essentially the same connection time period (Tc) for each connection. The measurement unit (9) is adapted to determine a sensor variable value (Vdiff) related to the variable at two of the connection points (CP1, CP2, . . . CPn). The present invention further relates to a measurement system (12) comprising said extracorporeale interface unit (8) and a method in said interface unit.

The communication interface is positioned along a communication link between a first sensor, which is configured to measure aortic blood pressure and to provide a signal representing measured aortic blood pressure, and a central monitoring device configured to monitor the measured aortic blood pressure. The communication interface includes a high impedance connection to the communication link that permits the communication interface to eavesdrop on the signal representing measured aortic blood pressure such that information representing measured aortic blood pressure is sent to the receiver while allowing the central monitoring device to receive and use the signal representing measured aortic blood pressure.

摘要： The present invention relates to a system and a method of measuring a physiological variable in a body. A basic idea of the present invention is to measure a physiological variable in a body by means of employing a sensor (314) which is arranged to be disposed in the body for measuring the physiological variable. The sensor must be provided with a supply voltage in order to be operable. Therefore, a control unit (322) disposed outside the body provides this supply voltage to the sensor. The control unit also receives, from the sensor, via a wired connection (311), signals that represent the physiological variables that are measured. The control unit is arranged with a communication interface (401, 701) and a modulator (301) for wireless spread spectrum communication of the measured physiological variables for presentation purposes.
