    • In a receiver circuit, a binary signal is generated based on a signal level of a received signal that has been received via a transmission line from a driver of a transmitter circuit. Then, a first stable state and a second stable state are detected based on a reference signal whose signal level changes in accordance with the received signal. In the first stable state, the received signal is stable at a first signal level. In the second stable state, the received signal is stable at a second signal level. When the first stable state is detected and the received signal is changed from the first signal level into the second signal level, the generated binary signal is retained at a signal level corresponding to the second signal level, until the second stable state is detected.

    • A capacitance type sensor includes a detection electrode, a reference electrode, and a sub-reference electrode for distinguishingly detecting a detection object. The sub-reference electrode has a reference voltage applied thereto and is displaceable relative to the detection electrode due to a pressure exerted from the detection object. A voltage application device applies a detection voltage to form an electric field in a space defined with the reference electrode device. A capacitance detector of the sensor detects a first capacitance and a second capacitance, and a detection unit of the sensor distinguishingly detects the detection object based on the first capacitance and the second capacitance. The first capacitance is measured between the detection electrode and the reference electrode, and the second capacitance is measured between the detection electrode and the sub-reference electrode.

    • A signal transmission circuit includes a transceiver, an impedance adjustment circuit, a first control circuit and a second control circuit. The impedance adjustment circuit realizes a low impedance state and a normal state of the transmission line. The first control circuit controls the impedance adjustment circuit to realize the low impedance state for a fixed period that is shorter than a width of one bit, when a change of a signal level on the transmission line is detected. The second control circuit controls the impedance adjustment circuit according to a transmission data transmitted from the transceiver, when detecting that a communication frame wins an arbitration by comparing the transmission data and the received data, to realize the low impedance state in an entire period where the signal level on the transmission line is recessive until transmission of the communication frame ends.

    • Each of nodes in a communication system includes a pull-up circuit connected between a power source and a transmission line and a switching portion connecting and disconnecting the transmission line and a ground line. One of the nodes is a master node, and the others of the nodes are slave nodes. The driver circuits are driven so that the master node constantly outputs the transmission code of logic 1 and the slave node outputting the transmission code of logic 0 extends the width of the low level of the transmission code of logic 1 on the transmission line. The master node further includes a current limiting section limiting an electric current that flows to the transmission line via the pull-up circuit based on at least a signal level of the transmission line.
