    • A system for testing hardware devices applies a multi-level architecture including a Graphical User Interface (GUI) level (10), a Dynamic Link Library (DLL) level (20), and a device driving level (30). The GUI level selects test items and test units for a test project based on test requirements, stores the test project in a test script file, configures test parameters for performing the test project, and stores the test parameters in a test parameter configuration file. The DLL level transmits test results of each hardware device (108) to the GUI level. The device driving level includes a device driving module (107) for obtaining test information on the hardware device, comparing the test information with standard information in the test parameter configuration file, and generating a comparison result. A related method is also disclosed.

    • A system for controlling a media player with a media controller includes a host computer (1), a media controller (11), and a Liquid Crystal Display (LCD) panel (12). The media controller is used for users to input commands of controlling the media player, and generating media control signals according to the commands. The LCD panel is used for displaying media information from a media player (6) installed in an operation system of the host computer. A motherboard (10) of the host computer includes: an audio DJ data processing module (103) for receiving media control signals, transforming the media control signals to audio DJ data, and sending the audio DJ data through a south bridge (102) to the media player to play media; and an LCD controlling module (104) for receiving and processing media information, controlling the media information to be displayed on the LCD panel. A related method is also disclosed.

    • A method protects a power button of a computing device. The computing device includes a front panel and a motherboard. The front panel includes a protection switch and a power button. The motherboard includes a power protection unit that displays a power-on simulation icon and a power-off simulation icon on a display screen when the power button is pressed. The power protection unit controls a general-purpose input/output (GPIO) pin of the motherboard to output a first voltage level when the power-off simulation icon is selected, and shuts off the protection switch to enable the power button according to the first voltage level. The power protection unit controls the GPIO pin to output a second voltage level when the power-on simulation icon is selected, and turns on the protection switch to enable the power button according to the second voltage level.

    • The present invention provides a method for testing play functions of an audio device (12) associated to a computer (10). The method includes the steps of: preparing an original audio file; connecting an input port (13) with an output port (14) of the audio device; playing the original audio file on the audio device; outputting audio signals from the output port; receiving the audio signals at the input port; recording the audio signals as a recorded audio file; comparing the original audio file with the recorded audio file; and reporting a test result indicating that the play functions of the audio device are normal if the two audio files are identical.
