摘要： Sidestream gas sampling assembly that does not substantially degrade the waveform of expired gases. The gas sampling assembly includes a sample cell portion integrated with a filter portion for separating undesired liquid condensate from respiratory gases to be monitored. The gas sampling assembly is configured to receive expired gases through a gas sampling line, filter undesired liquid condensate from the expired gases through hydrophobic fiber elements and communicate the filtered gases to a sample chamber which is in close proximity to the filter where measurements may be taken thereof e.g., optical or infrared sensing mechanisms. The gases that are substantially free of liquid condensate are then exhausted from the sample chamber.

摘要： A filter assembly for use in sidestream gas sampling assembly. The filter assembly of the present invention includes a hydrophilic liner lining the inner perimeter of a housing for wicking moisture from the gases to be monitored prior to the gases reaching a sensing mechanism. The filter further includes a hydrophobic member positioned downstream of the hydrophilic liner. The hydrophobic disk acts as a second line of defense against moisture reaching the sensing mechanism. In one embodiment, the filter further include an absorbent layer positioned between the cylindrical housing and the hydrophilic layer to aid in wicking moisture from the gas stream. In a further embodiment, the hydrophobic disk is eliminated and the hydrophilic member is situated such that gas entering the filter assembly must pass through at least a portion the hydrophilic member.

摘要： A technique for manufacturing a piezoresistive sensing structure includes a number of process steps. Initially, a piezoresistive element is implanted into a first side of an assembly that includes a semiconductor material. A passivation layer is then formed on the first side of the assembly over the element. The passivation layer is then removed from selected areas on the first side of the assembly. A first mask is then provided on the passivation layer in a desired pattern. A beam, which includes the element, is then formed in the assembly over at least a portion of the assembly that is to provide a cavity. The passivation layer provides a second mask, in the formation of the beam, that determines a width of the formed beam.

摘要： Impending rollover events are detected based on differential z-axis (i.e., vertical) acceleration. Vertical or z-axis acceleration measured at laterally opposite sides of the vehicle are filtered and differenced, and the differential acceleration is processed and compared to a calibrated threshold to detect impending rollover. Separate algorithms are employed to detect different categories of rollover events, and a sum of the z-axis acceleration measurements is used as a safing signal.

摘要： A high efficiency ventilation system may include a partition configured to separate a supply air stream and a return air stream, an energy recovery ventilator, a heat recovery ventilator, a refrigerant flow controlling condensing unit, and a direct expansion coil. The refrigerant flow controlling condensing unit may be configured to send a refrigerant to the direct expansion coil and configured to receive a refrigerant from the direct expansion coil. The direct expansion coil may be disposed between the energy recovery ventilator and the heat recovery ventilator. The high efficiency ventilation system may be configured to supply ventilation air to a controlled environment at a particular temperature and a particular humidity.
