    • A fastener driving device includes a housing containing an engine for driving a fastener through a flooring board and into a sub-floor, a nosepiece through which fasteners are driven, a magazine for supplying a plurality of fasteners for the engine to drive, and a shoe mounted for movement relative to the nosepiece. The shoe locates the engine relative to the flooring board so that the fastener is driven into the flooring board at an angle. The shoe includes a bottom workpiece engaging surface for engaging a top surface of the flooring board, and the nosepiece includes a forward workpiece engaging surface for engaging a front surface of the flooring board. The forward surface extends a distance below the bottom surface. One of the bottom surface and the forward surface is movable with respect to the other to adjust the distance that the forward surface extends below the bottom surface.

    • A wire cable assembly including a wire cable and a contact element. The contact element is configured to axially receive the wire cable and is formed to attach the wire cable to the contact element. A portion of the contact element is formed to define a single pair of indentation arrangements. The pair of indentation arrangements consists of a first indentation arrangement that diametrically opposes a second indentation arrangement. The contact element may also define a pair of humps adjacent to each of the grooves in the single pair of grooves. The wire cable may further include a conductive inner core, a first insulation layer surrounding the inner core, and an outer wire layer surrounding the first insulation layer. The wire cable assembly may further include an inner ferrule and an outer ferrule with the outer wire layer disposed between the inner ferrule and the outer ferrule.

    • An apparatus for manipulating a workpiece or the like comprising a pair ofinger assemblies mounted on a common support. The finger assemblies have belts with contact surfaces arranged in a confronting relationship. A first operating mechanism is provided for moving the finger assemblies along a first axis towards each other to grip a workpiece between the belt contact surfaces. A second operating mechanism is provided for rotating the belts about the first axis in order to impart a corresponding rotation to the workpiece gripped therebetween. A third operating mechanism is provided for moving the belts in either the same or opposite directions in order to impart either translational movement to the workpiece along a second axis perpendicular to the first axis or rotational movement to the workpiece about the second axis. The first, second and third operating mechanisms are operable independently of each other, and the first operating mechanism is operable additionally to move the finger assemblies together in the same direction along the first axis to impart corresponding translational movement to the workpiece and also to move the finger assemblies along the first axis away from each other to release the workpiece from between the contact surfaces.
