    • An ExpressCard having USB connection has a card case having two opposite first and second end portions and two opposite lateral portions. A card connector is formed at the first end portion of the card case and having a USB interface. Flash chips are implemented in the card case. A USB flash controller implemented in the card case and connected between the USB interface and the flash chips in order to provide a data access to the flash chips through the USB interface. A USB socket, in form factors of Mini-USB or Extended Mini-connector-type, is implemented in the card case and connected to the USB flash controller in order to provide a data access to the one or more flash chips therethrough. An extended Universal-Serial Bus (EUSB) host enters a suspend mode rather than poll an ExpressCard that is busy performing a memory or other operation, thereby saving power.

    • A portable universal serial bus (USB) data exchanger device is described herein. In one embodiment, the portable USB data exchanger includes at least one flash memory chip having a multi-level cell (MLC) memory array, a flash memory controller coupled to the at least one flash memory chip, the flash memory controller having a USB on-the-go (OTG) capability and controlling reading and writing of the flash memory chip, a first extended USB (EUSB) connector coupled to the flash memory controller to be coupled to a host, and a second EUSB connector coupled to the flash memory controller to be coupled to a slave USB device. The Portable USB data exchanger can communicate with either a host or a slave USB device without polling. Other methods and apparatuses are also described.

    • A multi-function electronic card has a host interface, a multi-functional controller and a plurality of function devices. Each function device is connected to the host via the host interface by issuing an interrupt request to the multi-functional controller. The multi-functional controller has an interrupt queue and an interrupt status register, each bit of the interrupt status register corresponding to a function device. When a function device issues an interrupt request, an identification number of the function device is stored into the interrupt queue, and only when all the bits in the interrupt status register are zeros, a corresponding bit in the interrupt status register is set as 1 for issuing an interrupt request to the host. When the host has serviced the function device, the interrupt queue is updated and the interrupt status register is cleared.

After determining the positioning coordinate, the GPS module notifies the multi-interface controller for further informing the host device through the host interface to read the positioning coordinate determined by the GPS module, which is compared with the map data read previously, thereby labeling a coordinate position on the map.
