    • An automated system for performing a Kepner Tregoe analysis provides a graphical user interface having dedicated data entry screens that include i) a first screen for entering criteria to be used in the Kepner Tregoe analysis, ii) a second screen for entering a relative importance value between each of the criteria and all others of the criteria, iii) a third screen for entering candidates to be used in the Kepner Tregoe analysis, and iv) a fourth screen for entering a raw score associated with each of the criteria for each of the candidates. A separate and dedicated score processor calculates the various parameters associated with the Kepner Tregoe analysis. A text file generator arranges the data for use by a spread sheet processor that will then function solely as part of an output device.

    • A system for calculating magnetic stray field data for current loop configurations. A graphical user interface utilizes multiple screens to define a current loop configuration, and prompt a user to select i) one of three orthogonal dipole directions in which the current loop configuration is aligned, ii) units of measure associated with the current loop configuration, and iii) one of a plurality of calculation scenarios. Calculation scenarios include i) current loop configuration defined by a single-size current loop, ii) current loop configuration defined by a non-uniform sized current loop, and current loop configuration defined as a single-size current loop and the user selects direction of simulated movement, start and stop positions along the movement direction and a step increment. A processor coupled to the graphipal user interface is programmed to perform magnetic stray field calculations for the selected calculation scenario. Calculations are displayed in graphical formats chosen by the user.

    • A combination stabilizer system and cylindrical-shaped undersea package improves validity of data collected from ambient sea by orienting the package in an upright attitude and eliminating motion or rocking due to wave action and/or sea currents. An outrigger base assembly has a flat base surface to rest on the sea floor and is provided with upper surfaces having semi-circular cross-sectional configurations to contiguously fit adjacent to round outer contours of an undersea package. The outrigger base assembly also has laterally extending outrigger portions extending the flat base surface for increased stability. First and second case clamps have curved surfaces with semi-circular cross-sectional configurations that extend above the outrigger base assembly. The first and second clamps clamp the curved surfaces and upper surfaces onto the round contours and secure the undersea package in an upright orientation.

    • An apparatus and method suspends cables from the top and sides of a shipping and stowage container having separated block-shaped fittings with top and side openings. A cross bar with rounded support structure suspends the cables and extends past the block-shaped fittings. First twist-lock fittings are mounted on a first side of the cross bar in the same spaced-apart relationship as the openings on the sides of the separated block-shaped fittings. Bayonets in the twist-lock fittings can be inserted into the side and top openings and rotated to secure the apparatus to the block-shaped fittings. Rotatable end hangers support cables beyond the container. Second twist-lock fittings are mounted on a second side of the cross bar in the same spaced-apart relationship as the openings on the tops of the separated block-shaped fittings.

    • A slewing crane is assembled and installed at the end of a shipping and stowage container having block-shaped corner fittings. Left and right rotatable mounts engage top corner fittings on the container, and a cross piece section engages the rotatable mounts. A boom section has upper and lower hinges rotatably mounting it on the cross piece section via the hinges' axially aligned pins to extend outwardly from the cross piece section. A hoist on the boom section lifts and moves loads, and first and second displacement mechanisms connected to the boom section linearly displace the hoist and angularly displace the hoist and boom section in a slewing motion around the axis of the axially aligned pins. An element connected between the cross piece section and a corner fitting is tensioned by a turnbuckle to securely engage both rotatable mounts and hold the slewing crane on the container.

    • An X-Y bridge crane can be assembled and erected by workmen to lift and move loads at the end of a shipping and stowage container having block-shaped corner fittings at top corners and bottom corners. Inner end portions of brace members are rotatably connected to the rotatable bottom securing brackets.
