    • An image forming apparatus capable of forming an image with uniform density includes a toner carrier for carrying a toner, an opposing electrode arranged opposing to the toner carrier, a high voltage power supply unit for supplying a voltage to generate a potential difference between the toner carrier and the opposing electrode, a control electrode including a plurality of electrodes arranged between the toner carrier and the opposing electrode, and a control power supply unit for implementing a plurality of potential states at respective ones of the electrodes of the control electrode, controlling passage of the toner through a passage portion, and for forming an image on a surface of a recording medium conveyed over the opposing electrode. The control electrode includes an insulating substrate, the aforementioned plurality of electrodes having a passage portion through which the toner passes provided in the insulating substrate, and a plurality of float electrodes having an opening provided such that at least part of the plurality of electrodes are directly or electrically exposed to the toner carrier, for making uniform an electric field formed between the toner carrier and the opposing electrode.

    • An image forming apparatus having a carrier for carrying toner, a back electrode disposed with a space between the carrier and back electrode, a control electrode disposed between the carrier and back electrode, for forming an electric field capable of causing toner on the carrier to fly toward the back electrode from the carrier and for forming an image by causing selectively the toner to fly and adhere to a recording medium according to an image signal, and a voltage applying section for applying an oscillating voltage to the control electrode. In order to prevent resonance of the control electrode, the oscillating voltage to be applied to the control electrode is set so that minimum natural numbers m and n satisfying that m times a frequency of the oscillating voltage to be applied to the control electrode is equal to n times the characteristic vibration frequency of the control electrode are more than 10. With this structure, it is possible to form an image with improved image quality quietly by preventing generation of noise due to vibrations of the control electrode, and suppressing the displacement of the control electrode.

    • A captured image processing system includes: a designation information accepting section for accepting designation information indicative of a location of a designated region in a captured image; a region determination section for determining an output target region in the captured image based on the designation information; and a corrected data preparation section for (i) obtaining a mapping for converting (a) coordinates of pixels in a quadrangle-shaped region having four edge pixel groups, detected in the captured image, serving as sides of the quadrangle-shaped region, the four edge pixel groups each being in a form of a line segment to (b) coordinates of pixels in a rectangular region of a given size and having upper and lower sides of the rectangular region being substantially parallel in a horizontal direction, and (ii) preparing corrected image data with respect to image data corresponding to the output target region in the captured image data, which corrected image data has been subjected to coordinate conversion based on the mapping prepared by the mapping preparation section. This allows easy output of necessary regions included in an image captured by a portable terminal apparatus, and allows output of an image having no geometric distortion even if image capture is carried out obliquely with respect to a captured image object.

    • The present image forming device is provided with a toner carrier and a counter electrode opposite the toner carrier. Between the toner carrier and the counter electrode is provided a jet control section having a plurality of gates, each forming a space for passage of a jet of toner. Also provided is a control electrode driver, which is capable of applying potentials independently to each gate of the jet control section. The present image forming device forms a toner image on a transfer material by controlling passage of toner through a given gate by application of an ON potential which allows passage of the toner through the gate and an OFF potential which prevents passage of the toner through the gate. A potential difference VH between the toner carrier and the counter electrode and an intensity EH of an electrical field in the vicinity of the counter electrode satisfy VH≦1.5 kV and EH≧1.8 kV/mm, respectively. Thus it is possible to provide a toner jet image forming device which reduces scattering occurring when the toner particles strike the transfer material, and which is able to form good pixels and good images.

    • A high density detecting toner pattern is formed on a photosensitive body and a high density correction is effected by comparing a value detected by a reflection sensor with a high density reference value so as to maintain an image density at a specific level. An image density correcting section adopts a result of the preceding high density correction as the high density reference value, and compares the same with a result of a current high density correction. The image density correcting section effects the half-tone density correction only when a difference reaches or exceeds a preset difference reference value by forming a half-tone density detecting toner pattern on the photosensitive body and comparing a value detected by the reflection sensor with a half-tone reference value. Consequently, it has become possible to provide an image forming apparatus which can maintain a density output of an entire image at a specific level for any kind of images including solid, line, and half-tone, etc. while shortening a time required for the density correction and reducing a quantity of toner consumed for the density correction.

    • A captured image processing system is provided. The captured image processing system includes a portable terminal apparatus and an image output apparatus, each of which are communicable with the other. The portable terminal apparatus captures an image of an object and transmits output target image data obtained by capturing the image to the image output apparatus so as to cause output of this captured image from the image output apparatus.
