摘要： Processes for preparing polyimides from bis-maleimides are provided. In these processes, the bis-maleimides are B-staged in solvents by passing through the solution oxygen or oxygencontaining inert gases at a temperature from about 100*C. to about the boiling point of the solvent. These solutions can be used directly as coatings and impregnants, particularly in the presence of catalytic quantities of Bronsted acid salt catalysts. From these solutions, the solid B-staged product can be isolated and then mixed with catalysts, activators, fillers and the like and used in molding processes and the like. When cured, the polymers are highly thermally stable in both nitrogen and air.
