摘要： An accelerator device includes a pedal lever, a reaction force adjuster and a controller. The pedal lever operates according to a stepping operation. The reaction force adjuster is driven by an actuator, and is capable of adjusting a reaction force that is a force in a direction of pushing back the pedal lever. The controller includes a target operation amount setting unit and a drive control unit. The target operation amount setting unit sets a target operation amount, which is an operation amount of the pedal lever according to a vehicle speed. The drive control unit controls a drive of the actuator. The controller controls the reaction force according to the target operation amount so that the operation amount of the pedal lever is within a target range when switching from an automatic drive to a manual drive.

摘要： An accelerator device includes a first cover that provides an internal space for housing a return spring and a failure region where the first cover engages a second cover. The failure region has a thickness configured to be thinner than a thickness of a body of the first cover. When a pedal rotates to open an accelerator, a second cover side friction member creates a force that pushes the second cover toward an outside of the device. The force is relayed to a contact portion of the first cover via a contact portion of the second cover and causes a failure of the failure region. As a result, the return spring is prevented from falling out of the internal space when the body breaks.

摘要： A rotation angle sensor detects a rotation angle of a pedal by its first Hall IC and second Hall IC, which are disposed between two magnets and output voltages varying with magnetic flux changes. When the rotation angle of the pedal is an accelerator full-closure rotation angle or more, the first Hall IC generates a first voltage V1, which is twice as large as a second voltage V2 of the second Hall IC. When the rotation angle is less than 0°, the first Hall IC fixes the first voltage irrespective of the rotation angle. An ECU determines that the rotation angle is abnormal indicating that the pedal rotates in an accelerator closing direction beyond an accelerator full-closure position, when an output difference G1 calculated as G1=V1/2−V2 is more than a predetermined value.

摘要： A pedal-side rotating member is composed of a boss portion rotatably supported by a pedal shaft, a spring holding portion for holding one end of a return spring, a stopper arm being operatively in contact with an inner wall surface of a supporting body, and a mechanically-weaker portion, wherein the boss portion, the spring holding portion, the stopper arm and the mechanically-weaker portion are integrally formed as one unit. The spring holding portion is so configured as to be broken away from the boss portion at the mechanically-weaker portion, if an acting force larger than a predetermined value is applied to the stopper arm when the rotating member is rotated in a direction to an acceleration fully-closed position. A broken piece is held at a position inside of the supporting body, so that rotation of the boss portion is not adversely affected by the broken piece.
