    • A ghost removing device for a marking apparatus includes a photoreceptor, a primary charging device, an erase light generating device to generate an erase light when activated, a voltage source to supply a charge voltage to the primary charging device, and a controller configured to control the at least one voltage source to supply the charge voltage to the primary charging device and to activate the erase light generating device substantially simulataneously after transfer of a toned image within a marking cycle. A ghost removing method for a marking device with a photoreceptor, including performing a partial print cycle, applying an erase light to the photoreceptor, and applying a charge voltage to the photoreceptor, wherein the erase light and the charge voltage are applied to the photoreceptor substantially simultaneously after completion of the partial cycle.

    • A color print cartridge comprises an ink housing 100 having a single interior compartment 250. A print head 160 mounted at the base of the housing in fluid communication with the interior of the compartment via a plurality of passageways 174, 180 in the base each having an entrance in the compartment. A single compressed block 252 of hydrophobic foam material is inserted under compression into the compartment immediately above the passageway entrances. A plurality of differently colored inks are injected into the block via respective needles 192, each ink filling a respective passageway 174, 180 and a respective region 194, 196 of the foam block above the passageway. The differently colored inks occupying non-contiguous regions within the block.

    • A receiver time delay calibration device designed for low cost retrofitting of airborne equipment and more specifically DME equipment. In this system, the output of a VFO is applied to the RF input port of the receiver to be tested. The VFO is swept through a frequency range of the receiver until the receiver provides an output, which occurs at the operating frequency of the receiver, f.sub.t. The receiver's output at f.sub.t is used to stop the sweep of the VFO and maintain it at f.sub.t. The output of the VFO is then pulse modulated and the delay between the RF pulse applied to the input of the receiver and the corresponding video output pulse from the receiver is measured to determine the receiver delay time.

    • A method of making a print cartridge comprises providing an ink housing 100 having a top and a base and at least one interior compartment 106, the housing further having a passageway 172, 174 in the base with an entrance in the compartment to allow fluid communication between the interior of the compartment and a print head 160 mounted at the base of the housing. A block of hydrophobic foam material 252 is inserted under compression into the compartment immediately above the passageway entrance. Ink 710, 712 is injected into the foam block through two hollow needles 702, 704 extending downwardly through the block from the top of the housing and terminating at points disposed respectively towards opposite edges 174a, 174b of the passageway entrance. The volume of ink injected by the needles is sufficient to fill the passageway and cover the passageway entrance but insufficient to form a horizontal air seal around the internal periphery of the compartment.
