摘要： A terminal device for use with a wireless telecommunications system, the terminal device comprising: a transmitter; a receiver configured to receive a measurement radio signal from each of one or more potential relay nodes of the wireless telecommunications system, each measurement radio signal being transmitted using the same predetermined radio frequency band and identifying the one of the potential relay nodes from which it is transmitted; and a controller configured: to measure a characteristic of each received measurement radio signal, and based on each received measurement radio signal and its measured characteristic, to determine a suitable one of the one or more potential relay nodes for acting as a relay node for relaying the further radio signal between the terminal device and the infrastructure equipment.

摘要： A communications system communicating data to/from a communications terminal includes infrastructure equipment forming a mobile communications network to transmit/receive data to/from the communications terminal via a wireless access interface, the communications terminal configured to transmit/receive data to/from the infrastructure equipment. The communications terminal can receive transmission data to the infrastructure equipment at a buffer, transmit a resource request message requesting resources of the wireless access interface to the infrastructure equipment in response to receiving the data for transmission to the infrastructure equipment, and receive a resource allocation message from the infrastructure equipment. The resource allocation message allocates resources of the wireless access interface to the communications terminal. A characteristic of the resource request message transmitted by the communications terminal to the infrastructure equipment provides an indication of one of a predetermined set of transmission priority levels for transmitting the buffered data to the infrastructure equipment.

摘要： A relay device configured to communicate with a terminal device of the network and with a base station of the network. The relay device comprises transmitter circuitry, receiver circuitry and controller circuitry. The controller circuitry is configured in combination with at least the transmitter circuitry: to select a maximum transmission power to be used by the terminal device for communicating with the relay device, wherein the identified maximum transmission power is based on link information relating to one or both of the link between the relay device and the base station and the link between the relay device and the terminal; to notify the communication device of the selected maximum transmission power for the terminal to select an actual transmission power and to transmit signals to the relay device at a power that is no more than the maximum transmission power.

摘要： A method controlling wireless communication of a data block from a terminal device to a base station includes: making a first uplink transmission for the data block in association with a first retransmission protocol process and obtaining a corresponding first acknowledgement indication indicating whether the data block has been successfully communicated to the base station; making a second uplink transmission for the data block in association with a second retransmission protocol process and obtaining a corresponding second acknowledgement indication, the second transmission initiated before the first acknowledgement indication is obtained; and determining whether to avoid scheduling retransmission of data for the data block in association with the first retransmission protocol process based on the first and second responses, avoiding data retransmission in association with the first retransmission protocol process if either the first or second acknowledgement indications indicate the data block has been successfully communicated to the base station.

摘要： A method of allocating radio resources for uplink transmissions in a wireless telecommunications system, the method including: a first terminal device communicating a request for an allocation of radio resources to a base station; the base station determining there is an association between the first terminal device and a second terminal device based on their having similar predicted traffic profiles for uplink data; and the base station establishing a radio resource allocation for the second terminal device based on the resources requested by the first terminal device, and consequently transmitting radio resource allocation messages to allocate radio resources to the first and the second terminal devices for respective uplink transmissions based on the request for an allocation of radio resources received from the first terminal device.
