摘要： A medicament delivery device has a syringe, a housing, a needle shield, a biasing member and one or more blocking members. The needle shield is biased axially forwardly by the biasing member so as to selectively cover a needle of the syringe. However, the biasing member is prevented from biasing the needle shield axially forwardly until a radial movement of the blocking members has occurred, which is precipitated by a forward axial movement of the syringe. Consequently, the forward movement of the syringe releases the needle shield to automatically make safe the device.

摘要： A medicament delivery device comprises a housing and a syringe axially movable in the housing and the syringe having a barrel. The device further comprises a stopper axially movable in the barrel and which separates a first chamber and second chamber from one another. The stopper is axially movable in the barrel in response to a vapour pressure being received in the second chamber. The device also includes a biasing mechanism to axially move the syringe in the housing between a first syringe position and a second syringe position in response to a first reduction in the vapour pressure in the second chamber. In the first syringe position venting of the propellant from the second chamber through a first fluid pathway is permitted to enable the first reduction in the vapour pressure in the second chamber while venting of the propellant from the second chamber through a second fluid pathway is substantially prevented. In the second syringe position venting of the propellant from the second chamber through the second fluid pathway is permitted to enable a second reduction in the vapour pressure in the second chamber.

The medicament delivery device further comprising a second container having a second stopper axially moveable in the second container, the second stopper defining and separating a third chamber and a fourth chamber in the second container, where the third chamber is axially forwards of the second stopper and the fourth chamber is axially rearwards of the second stopper, and where the third chamber has a vent outlet in fluid communication with a venting chamber. The first stopper is connected to the second stopper by a tensile member such that axially forwardly movement of the first stopper causes axially forwardly movement of the second stopper due to tensioning of the tensile member. The first stopper is driveable in an axially forwardly direction, the first chamber is configured to contain medicament for delivery through the delivery outlet as the first stopper moves axially forwards, the third chamber contains a viscous fluid that enters the venting chamber via the vent outlet as the second stopper moves axially forwards, and the fourth chamber has a pressure that is substantially equal to or greater than the pressure of the venting chamber. As the first stopper is driven axially forwardly, the tensile member is tensioned and causes the second stopper to move axially forwardly and the venting of viscous fluid into the venting chamber via the vent outlet retards the axially forward movement of the second stopper and the first stopper.

摘要： An injection device having an outer housing configured to receive a syringe. The syringe has a barrel for containing medicament and a needle in fluid communication with the barrel. The device further has a needle shield axially moveable relative to the outer housing between a needle covering position and a needle exposing position and a helical compression spring to bias the needle shield axially forwardly toward the needle covering position. A locking sleeve, axially movable relative to the outer housing between a non-locking position and a locking position, selectively limits axial movement of the needle shield. In a first configuration, the needle shield is axially slideable within the locking sleeve to permit rearward axial movement of the needle shield from the needle covering position to the needle exposing position.
