    • Described is a method for managing locally switched call connections in a wireless communication network comprising receiving, at a core network node, a first message indicating that a first user equipment connected via the locally switched call connection has been detected in a target radio access node and transmitting, triggered by the first message, a second message requesting a status change of the locally switched call connection to a second user equipment, such that a user plane data path from the first user equipment to the second user equipment is switched to a core network path. Moreover, the method is implemented in a network node, while the method steps can be executed by means of a computer program product comprising instruction sets performing each method step.

    • Methods and apparatus in a base station controller (BSC) or equivalent node for sharing a pool of radio transceivers are described. The BSC belongs to a first wireless telecommunication network, the pool of radio transceivers includes first radio transceivers for a first radio base station (RBS) belonging to the first wireless telecommunication network and second radio transceivers for a second RBS belonging to a second wireless telecommunication network, and the first and second radio transceivers have substantially the same geographic coverage. A method includes selecting a radio transceiver from the pool irrespective of whether the radio transceiver selected is a first radio transceiver or a second radio transceiver; and allocating a communication channel provided by the selected radio transceiver to a respective mobile station registered in at most one of the first and second telecommunication networks.

    • The invention relates to a switching device for switching input data frames (IDF) from a plurality of N input lines (i1, i2, . . . in, iN) to output data frames (ODF) on a plurality of M output lines (o1, o2, . . . on, oM). The switching device contains a number K of switch pattern units, each containing a specific switch pattern. A number K of frame store memories (FSMj) each store all input data frames from all input lines in every frame period. Each frame store memory is used for selecting bits to a sub-group of M/K output lines. The parallelly working units (u1, u2, . . . uK) each sequentially select a plurality of M/K bits from the stored input data frames and simultaneously assign the selected bits to the output data frames on the respective sub-group of output lines. The selection and assigning of bits in each unit is performed at a M/K times higher clock rate than the bit rate on the input data lines. Thus, a bit-orientated reading of input data frames and writing of output data frames is achieved which allows a flexible switching of full rate as well as sub-rate input PCM data frames.
