摘要： Process for reversal development of a latent electrostatic image in a layer on a conductive support by developing with an electrostatic developer having electrostatically charged toner particles by(a) generating imagewise areas in the layer having different rates of charge decay and/or charge acceptance,(b) charging the layer,(c) allowing formation of an electrostatic image corresponding to the imagewise generated areas by differential charge decay and/or charge acceptance,(d) creating an electrical field to attract toner particles preferentially to the areas of lesser charge, and(e) developing the areas of lesser charge with electrostatically charged toner particles having the same polarity as that of the charged layer.The developed image can be transferred to a receptor surface, e.g., paper. The process is useful with many type photosensitive masters in preparing reversal images with the use of only one master, toner and film original.

摘要： A computer-implemented method and system are provided for assisting a plurality of patients manage chronic health conditions. The method, for each patient, comprises: (a) receiving information from the patient or a member of a patient care network on an expected patient activity at a given future time period; (b) determining expected transient local ambient conditions in the patient's surroundings during the expected patient activity at the given future time period; (c) predicting health exacerbations for the patient using a stored computer model of the patient based on a desired patient control set-point range, the expected patient activity, and the expected transient local ambient conditions; and (d) proactively sending a message to the patient or a member of the patient care network before the given future time period, the message alerting the patient or a member of the patient care network of the predicted health exacerbations for the patient and identifying one or more corrective actions for the patient to avoid or mitigate the predicted health exacerbations.

摘要： A liquid electrostatic developer includes a toner which is made from a halogenated resin, a thermoplastic resin and a colorant. Preferably the halogenated resin is a fluorinated resin. Optionally, a charge adjuvant may be present. The liquid electrostatic developer is prepared by a process wherein the halogenated resin, the thermoplastic resin, the optional colorant and the optional charge adjuvants are melt blended to form a mixture. This mixture is ground at a cold temperature, and subsequently charged with a charge director. The toner used in the liquid electrostatic developer formed by this process has excellent thermoplastic and electrical properties and provides a developer with excellent imaging characteristics.

摘要： A prosthetic venous valve includes a frame and leaflets. The frame includes: (i) a generally hollow base disposed at a blood inflow end; (ii) a plurality of struts connected with the base and extending generally parallel to a direction of forward flow of blood from the generally hollow base to a blood outflow end; and (iii) inwardly oriented flanges disposed at the blood outflow ends of the struts. The leaflets are disposed in gaps between the struts and are supported by the frame. The leaflets are arranged to close into the vein lumen to substantially seal against backflow of blood from the blood outflow end to the blood inflow end. The inwardly oriented flanges of the struts enhance the sealing.

The process is useful in preparing multiple copies in more than one version, e.g., logos, headlines, corrections, etc.
