The flexible container forming assembly is configured for forming at least two side by side flexible containers which define at least a first output and a second output. The flexible container filling assembly is associated with the flexible container forming assembly and has a receiving region configured for receipt of sequential flexible containers for filling. The transfer assembly is configured for sequentially transferring flexible containers from the first output to the receiving region of the flexible container filling assembly and from the second output to the receiving region of the flexible container filling assembly.
