    • A measurement apparatus includes a lamp mount including a first mount and a second mount. The first mount has a first cavity to mount an observation module. The second mount has a second cavity to mount an image capture module. The measurement apparatus further includes a plurality of light modules mounted on an undersurface of the lamp mount. The second mount is disposed with an included angle relative to a first axis of the first cavity so that a second axis of the second cavity and the first axis converge on a point. The undersurface of the lamp mount is concave so that light from the light modules tilts toward the first axis, and the light and the first axis also converge on the point.

    • A method for focusing discrete points on an under-measured object is provided. The method includes: (a) receiving an image of the object, selecting measurement points on the image, and obtaining X, Y coordinate values of the measurement points; (b) searching a solid point on the under-measured object according to the X, Y coordinate value of one of the measurement points, wherein the solid point corresponds to the measuring point; (c) emitting a laser light to the solid point for computing a vertical distance “h” between the laser aid and the solid point; (d) computing a Z coordinate value of the measurement point according to the “h”; repeating step (b) to step (d) until all the Z coordinate values of the measurement points have been computed; and (e) focusing the solid points according to the X, Y and Z coordinate values of the measurement points. A related system is also provided.

    • An exemplary method for edge scan of an image is provided. The method includes: setting parameters of an image edge scan; setting parameters for scanning edges of the workpiece; obtaining an image of the workpiece; processing the image and designating a point in the image; searching a first edge point near the designated point in a clockwise direction, wherein there is at least one point adjacent to the first edge point whose color is different with the color of the first edge point; searching other edge points in the manner of searching the first edge point by utilizing a recursive method; calculating coordinates of initial points and end points of scan lines according to the parameters, and searching scanned points according to the initial points and end points on the image that has not been processed; scanning edges of the image based on the scanned points. A related system is also provided.

    • A method for automatic focusing of images is disclosed. The method includes steps: sending an instruction to a motor (17) which is installed on a Z axis of a measure machine (19); setting particular parameters required for focusing images, and set a start location and an end location for the Z axis; controlling the Z axis to move within a predetermined focusing area; retrieving consecutive images; pretreating the consecutive images; calculating definition values of the consecutive images; determining whether the Z axis has arrived at the end location; determining whether it is the second time to focus the images, if the Z axis has arrived at the end location; calculating a focus location of the consecutive images, if it is the second time to focus the images; and outputting the calculated focus location. A system for automatic focusing of images is also disclosed.
