摘要： A door handle assembly providing an entry function includes a sleeve, a spindle and a handle that fits over the sleeve. Gap and play between the handle and the sleeve is eliminated by tightening of a threaded fastener against an inner surface of the handle. A tool is selectively received through an opening in the spindle for tightening the threaded fastener. The opening in the spindle is alignable with an aperture in the handle when in an unlocked condition. The tool is then permitted to extend through the aperture and the opening in the spindle to engage the threaded fastener. A second end of the threaded fastener abuts the inner surface of the handle, securing the handle to the sleeve. Another door handle assembly according to this invention provides a privacy function and includes a threaded fastener that contacts an inner surface of a door handle assembly.

A clutch assembly is drivably interposed between an exterior turnpiece and the torque blade driver. A motor shaft is arranged to rotate about a second rotational axis that is non-coaxial with the first rotational axis. A locking shifter is configured for axial translation along the second rotational axis. The locking shifter has a blocking tab portion configured for selective engagement with the perimetrical lock recess of the torque blade driver. A rotational-to-linear motion converter is drivably interposed between the motor shaft and the locking shifter and is configured such that a rotation of the motor shaft results in an axial displacement of the locking shifter to one of a locked position and an unlocked position.

摘要： An interconnected chassis for a lock set includes a mounting plate having a first guide channel, a second guide channel spaced apart from the first guide channel, and a spring engaging member. A lower cam arm, having a lower rotational axis, is rotatably coupled to the mounting plate. A slide plate has a spring retention wall and a spring engaging surface. The slide plate is positioned between, and in sliding engagement with, the first guide channel and the second guide channel, and is positioned above the lower cam arm. A spring retention chamber is established between the spring retention wall of the slide plate and the mounting plate. The spring retention chamber provides lateral containment of a spring. The collar has a pair of ears formed thereon that extend over the opening in the deck. A pair of fasteners are operatively engaged from above the deck to be threadedly connected to the ears to be disposed from above through the opening of the deck. A retainer is threadedly connected to the fasteners and includes a pair of swing flaps thereon adapted to be axially shifted toward and away from the collar responsive to the direction of rotation of the fasteners. The pair of swing flaps rotate on the fasteners between a closed position that provides a small dimension that passes through the opening of the deck and an open position that provides a long dimension with each swing flap pivoted outwardly so that when the retainer is disposed below the deck and the retainer is shifted upwardly each of the swing flaps will clamp against the underside of the deck to clamp the quick-install assembly thereto. Lastly, connecting device are operable from above the deck to connect the faucet to the collar whereby the faucet will be mounted upon the deck.
