摘要： A method of preparing channel-type mesoporous material with an elliptical pore section is described. An alkaline solution containing two surfactants different in the electronic properties of their hydrophilic groups is prepared. A silica precursor is added to form a stack of rod-like micelles each having an elliptical section with the silica precursor between the rod-like micelles. The silica precursor is reacted into a silica framework. The rod-like micelles are removed from the silica framework.

摘要： A phone appliance and method of use are provided where the phone appliance can be used to make VoIP communications calls. In a preferred embodiment, the phone appliance includes an RF connection for connecting to a computer or other computing device for facilitating the placement of the VoIP communications calls. The phone appliance further includes a display or portal for depicting advertisements provided by various advertisers. The advertisements provided can be used to defray all or part of the cost associated with making VoIP communications calls. The portal can also be used to communicate with businesses for ordering products, such as ordering a pizza, and to perform various services, such as purchasing stocks. In an exemplary system, the phone appliance is used to transmit to a control center information related to the user of the phone appliance, such as interests and buying habits, and queries for receiving additional information for various advertised products and services. The control center transmits the queries to the appropriate vendors for providing the user with additional information. Other functions and features are provided to the phone appliance, such as being able to download e-mail messages stored within or received by the computer.

摘要： A method for measuring the readability of a screen under sunshine is disclosed. In this method, a first set of basic data of a screen module to be tested under dark room conditions is measured. Next, a second set of basic data of the screen module under simulated sunshine conditions is measured. A first screen readability interval data and a second screen readability interval data are then obtained according to the first set of basic data and the second set of basic data. Finally, the first screen readability interval data and the second screen readability interval data are used to determine whether or not the screen module can be clearly read under sunshine. These readability interval data can be used as a basis for leave-factory quality inspection of screens.

摘要： A dowel insertion tool includes a T-shaped handle and a hollow sleeve which extends distally from the T-shaped handle. A shaft extends from the handle through the hollow sleeve and includes a transverse extension. A rotatable knob having an annular channel positioned to receive the transverse extension is supported adjacent the handle. A pin is secured to the knob and extends into a helical camming channel formed in the sleeve. Upon rotation of the knob, the pin moves within the camming channel to move the knob longitudinally about the sleeve. Movement of the knob effects longitudinal movement of the shaft. A support plate is secured to the distal end of the shaft. A pair of prongs are slidably secured to the plate. Each of the prongs includes an enlarged head portion which is slidably positioned within a slot formed in the plate. A guide member is secured to the distal end of the sleeve. The guide member includes a pair of guide bores dimensioned to receive a distal end of the prongs. The guide bores direct the prongs outwardly from the distal end of the hollow sleeve at an angle to the longitudinal axis of the sleeve. The prongs are dimensioned to be received in bores formed in the trailing end of a cervical dowel. Because the prongs engage the dowel at an angle, the dowel is both rotatably and longitudinally fixed to the insertion tool.
