    • The invention relates to an integrated antenna for a portable computer. The portable computer has a main frame. The integrated antenna comprises a substrate, a first radiating metal strip, a second radiating metal strip, a ground plane, at least one first connecting metal strip and second connecting metal strip. The substrate has a connecting portion for connecting to the main frame. The first radiating metal strip is used to induce a first resonance, and the second radiating metal strip is used to induce a second resonance. The first connecting metal strip connects to the first radiating metal strip and the second radiating metal strip. The second connecting metal strip connects to the second radiating metal strip and the ground plane. The integrated antenna of the invention is mounted to the main frame of the portable computer. The length of a coaxial cable can be reduced. Therefore, the transmission loss and cost can be reduced. Furthermore, the integrated antenna can be easily mounted on the main frame of portable computer.

    • This invention relates to an antenna for GPS. The antenna of the invention comprises a ground metal plate, a parasitic metal plate, a radiation metal plate and at least one supporting element. The parasitic metal plate is disposed above the ground metal plate and connects to the ground metal plate. The radiation metal plate is an independent metal plate and is disposed above the ground metal plate. The parasitic metal plate cooperates with the radiation metal plate to induce a resonance mode. The supporting element is disposed on the ground metal plate and is used to support the radiation metal plate. Whereby, the problems of large size and limited receiving angle of signal according to a conventional circular polarization antenna for GPS could be improved.

    • The invention relates to a dual-band inverted-F antenna with shorted parasitic elements. The antenna of the invention comprises a ground plane, a first radiating arm placed above an edge of the ground plane, a second radiating arm placed above the edge of the ground plane, a shorting arm with a substantially inverted-L shape for electrically connecting the first radiating arm and the second radiating arm to the ground plane, a shorted parasitic arm placed above the edge of the ground plane, and a feeding coaxial cable for transmitting signals. There is a distance between the shorted parasitic arm and the first radiating arm so as to induce extra capacitive reactance to compensate the inductive reactance induced by inserting the feeding coaxial cable. The present invention is suitable for the wireless local area network (WLAN) applications in the 2.4 GHz (2.4–2.484 GHz) and 5 GHz (5.15–5.35, 5.725–5.875 GHz) bands.
