    • A driving method of a liquid crystal display (LCD) includes (a) measuring reaction curves of LCD panel pixels switching from any gray scale value to others within a frame period and generating a standard table according to the results, (b) measuring adjustment gray scale values of any gray scale values for different gammas, (c) generating a plurality of tables according to the adjustment gray scale values and the standard table, (d) applying scan voltages to the scan lines, (e) receiving image data from an image signal terminal, (f) delaying the image data for a frame period to generate delayed image data, (g) selecting a table from the standard table and the tables according to gamma, and (h) selecting an image data value from the selected table according to the current and delayed image data to generate a data line voltage to be applied on a corresponding data line.

    • Disclosed is a method for driving pixels of an LCD device, wherein an overlapping area between a data line connected to a data driver and a gate line connected to a gate driver defines a pixel of an LCD device. A first gate driver is selected from the LCD device' at least two gate drivers based on a selection rule. Starting from a line A, the first gate driver displays a part of a picture image by sequentially displaying the image line by line up to a number of lines according to a pre-determined display range. Then a second gate driver based on the selection rule displays a part of an all black image by displaying, from a line B, a number of lines based on a pre-determined display range simultaneously. The line B is separated from the line A by a number of lines according to a pre-determined gap range.

    • A color display system comprises a color signal source, a buffer unit, a storage unit, a recovering module, a comprising unit, and a multi-functional comparing unit. The multi-functional comparing unit is used for comparing a recovered OD value of the recovering module, a grayscale of the color signal source, and a comparison result of the comparing unit are compared and then outputs a result of either the grayscale of the current frame or the recovered OD value. By this way, the color display system can respond to display grayscales of colors fast and accurately. The color display system is suitable for a liquid crystal display (LCD), a plasma display panel (PDP), a thin film transistor (TFT), an organic electro luminescence display (OLED), and a polymer light emitting diode (PLED).

    • A system for adjusting color image quality includes converting color video signal sources into component video signals including a luminance signal and chrominance signals. A signal axis rotation circuit performs coordination transformation on the chrominance signals in accordance with a hue calibration parameter; and a multiplier multiplies the coordinate-transformed chrominance signals with a chroma calibration parameter to obtain output chrominance signals. The output chrominance signals and the luminance signal together form a component chrominance signal, which is applied to and output by a chrominance signal inverse conversion unit.

    • A new type of liquid crystal display (LCD) device with improved high transmittance and wide-view-angle characteristics while without gray-level inversion at an inclined viewing angle is provided. The LCD device includes a first substrate with common electrodes, a second substrate with at least one pixel unit, a liquid crystal (LC) layer disposed between the first substrate and the second substrate, a first polarizer, and a second polarizer. The pixel unit has a pixel electrode, which is formed by at least one dense electrode area and at least one sparse electrode area. The LC molecules of the LC layer form a continuous-domain alignment after being driven by a voltage.
