    • An optical spectrometer includes an input module, an optical sensing device, a light splitter, and a processing device. The input module includes an orifice unit through which an incident light beam passes. The optical sensing device includes a two-dimensional array of sensing cells arranged into a plurality of rows and columns. The light splitter splits the incident light beam from the input module into at least one wavelength component of a light band, and projects the wavelength component to the optical sensing device. The optical sensing device is disposed such that the wavelength component projected thereon is inclined at a predetermined angle relative to a columnar direction of the sensing cells. The processing device is coupled to the optical sensing device for processing electrical signals generated by the sensing cells.

    • In a system and method for automated testing of optical characteristics of a light-emitting element, an optical characteristic capturing device continuously rotate about the light-emitting element to be tested at a fixed radius while constantly facing the light-emitting element. The path of rotation is divided into a measuring section and a non-measuring section. The non-measuring section is utilized to enable rotation of the element to be tested or replacement of the element to be tested, thereby simplifying operational states of a support device of the capturing device. Not only can this work with an automated process to perform continuous testing of elements, the overall structure of the testing system can be simplified, and the operation there of can be sped up. Besides, measurement of wide angles can be conducted with accuracy. Thus, the marketplace's requirement for an instrument for high-speed testing of light-emitting elements can be fully met.

    • The present invention relates to digital protection circuits in a CRT based display system for the purpose of providing hardware protections to the system before exactly removing a crisis. Self-testing and diagnostic capabilities are also supplemented in a CRT based monitor that are used to lacking in the monitor. The protection circuit basically includes a microprocessor section, a timer section, a register section, a digital to analog converter section, an analog to digital converter section, a non-volatile memory section, and an analog section. All sections can be integrated in a single chip and share a single controller. By using two diodes with their negative terminals coupled together to supplement capabilities of self-testing and diagnostic even when lack of power supplying. All implementations mentioned above can be easily achieved at a very low additional cost.
