摘要： A flat end beverage can lid comprises a soda can lid wherein the inner platform is connected with the rim groove. The intent is to facilitate cleaning of the groove and nearby opening hole. The pull tab is located on the inner platform so that it can be readily cleaned by finger. The inner platform extends to the can edge and can be lower than or equal to the rim groove. With this design, it is also possible to use the existing crimping head on the filling line which represents a large cost savings for the filler.

摘要： The invention comprises a soda can lid which forms a seal with one's upper lip during thereby preventing spillage and eliminating residue. The raised platform area on the lid is connected to the pull-tab area with outwardly sloping walls designed to engage the lips. The platform area is slightly higher than the depth of a circular peripheral groove ranging up to slightly higher than the rim. The lid may also include seal portions extending upwardly from the platform on both sides of the depressed pull-tab area. The invention may be employed on lids either with or without a peripheral groove. Another feature of the invention is a pull-tab with an arch handle and special puncture tip for easier more comfortable use by consumers.

摘要： This invention comprises a sanitary beverage can lid wherein the center platform of the lid including the pull tab is raised from below the rim of the can as in conventional cans to a position close to or slightly above the rim of the can. The center platform diameter is reduced in diameter to provide additional space from the exterior of the can body to the edge of the platform. The pull tab is positioned in the middle of the center platform so that the end of the pull tab is at the edge of the center platform to facilitate opening of the can. The raised center platform and the lid design prevent an individual's lip from coming in contact with the groove along the edge of the lid where dirt may accumulate. Another feature is the provision of a raised rim on the platform with an interior drain-back slope so that any excess beverage flows back into the can.

摘要： A beverage can lid comprises an outer peripheral groove adjacent the outer rim and an inner concentric groove separated therefrom by a dividing rim which is at a predetermined height relative to the outer rim. A center platform is connected to the dividing rim by walls which slope downwardly from said rim. The central pull tab area is approximately the same height as the height of the inner groove and is connected to the inner dividing rim at one end with an upwardly curving surface. The outer groove which may be shallow and permits entry of a crimping tool to mount the lid on a can is also easily cleaned to provide a sanitary can lid. The inner groove may be blocked in the pouring spout area to facilitate cleaning.

摘要： Compositions and methods are provided for treating diseases associated with abnormal cell proliferation such as cancer by storing inherent tumor-suppressing functions of neoplastic cells through DNA hypomethylation. The method comprises: delivering to a patient suffering from cancer a therapeutically effective amount of a DNA methylation inhibitor such as decitabine, in combination with an effective amount of an anti-neoplastic agent whose activity as an anti-neoplastic agent in vivo is adversely affected by aberrant DNA methylation. The anti-neoplastic agent can be an alkylating agent, an antibiotic agent, an antimetabolic agent, a retinoid, a hormonal agent, a plant-derived agent, an anti-angiogenesis agent and a biologic agent such as monoclonal antibody and interferon.
