    • A method of preparing toner is provided, including: forming polymer latex particles by polymerizing a toner composition including a macromonomer having a hydrophilic group, a hydrophobic group, and at least one reactive functional group, a polymerizable monomer, a chain transfer agent, and an initiator; aggregating the polymer latex particles; and separating and drying the polymerized toner. The polymerizable monomer is selected to produce at least two groups of polymer latex particles having different molecular weights, wherein the polymer latex particles are selected from the group consisting of a first latex polymer group having a molecular weight less than about 20,000, a second latex polymer group having a molecular weight of about 20,000 to 40,000, a third latex polymer group having a molecular weight of about 40,000 to 50,000, and a fourth latex polymer group having a molecular weight of about 50,000 to 100,000. Also provided are a toner prepared using the method, an image forming method using the toner, and an image forming apparatus employing the toner. Thus, the size and shape of the toner particles can be efficiently adjusted, and a toner having low temperature fixing properties, storability, cleaning properties, and durability can be obtained.

    • A method of preparing toner and a toner using the method is provided. More particularly, a method of preparing toner controls a shape of finally obtained toner particles by adjusting a molecular weight and Tg of polymer latex and can easily obtain a desired size, shape, and size distribution of toner particles by controlling aggregation of polymer latex particles and process conditions. A toner using the method, an image forming method using the toner and an image forming apparatus including the toner are also provided. The toner is prepared by forming polymer latex particles having different molecular weights by polymerizing a toner composition including macromonomers containing a hydrophilic group, a hydrophobic group and at least one reactive functional group, and at least one polymerizable monomer; and mixing the polymer latex particles having different molecular weights with a pigment dispersion solution to control aggregation of the polymer latex particles by controlling pH or an amount of added inorganic salts and optimizing process conditions.

    • A method of preparing toner, which comprises polymerizing a toner composition containing a macromonomer having a hydrophilic group, a hydrophobic group and at least one reactive functional group, one or more polymerizable monomers, a polymerization initiator and a chain transfer agent, to form a polymer latex; mixing the polymer latex with a colorant dispersion of a colorant dispersed in an anionic reactive emulsifier and a nonionic reactive emulsifier, and adding an aggregating agent to aggregate the resulting toner; and separating and drying the aggregated toner. A toner prepared by the method, a method of forming an image using the toner, and an image forming device employing the toner, are also provided. According to the method, a colorant dispersion of a colorant dispersed in a plurality of reactive emulsifiers is used to easily control the particle size and shape of the toner particles, obtain a high resolution image having excellent offset resistance, and provide frictional charging properties and storage stability. A toner exhibiting excellent properties in a high humidity environment can be prepared.

    • A method of preparing a toner, includes: preparing a core by mixing a polyester resin and a colorant with at least one material selected from the group consisting of a macromonomer having hydrophilic group, hydrophobic group, and at least one reactive functional group and a reactive emulsifying agent. A shell is formed on the core by polymerizing the exterior surface of the core with one or more polymerizable monomers and an initiator, wherein at least one material selected from the group consisting of the macromonomer and the reactive emulsifying agent participate in the polymerization reaction. Also, provided are a toner prepared using the method, an image forming method using the toner, and an image forming apparatus employing the toner. According to the method, a polyester resin, having superior fixability at low temperature and image properties, is used as a core composition and styrene, having superior maintenance and charging properties, is used as a shell composition in the process of manufacturing a core/shell structure to prepare the toner for the image forming apparatus having fast speed and fixability of high quality images at low temperature. In addition, by not using the reactive emulsifying agent, the cleaning process is minimized, and the amounts of polluted water and waste water are decreased, which is very advantageous environmentally.
