摘要： The present invention in one embodiment is a bead formed from bottle caps of a beverage container. In another embodiment of the invention, pieces of jewelry or other ornamental objects are formed from bottle caps of beverage containers. In yet another embodiment of the invention, pieces of jewelry or other ornamental objects are formed from the metal of cookie tins, candy tins, mint tins or similar metal containers. After appropriate preparation, a bottle cap or piece of metal from a tin is placed in a press tool having a punch member forming tool and cutting die that cooperatively interact to reform the bottle cap or metal from a tin, and in some cases punch out a piece of the bottle cap or metal from a tin. This produces, in several embodiments, a component that will be joined with one or more other similar components to form the bead or ornamental object of desire. In other embodiments, the reformed bottle cap or piece punched out of the bottle cap or tin is the desired ornamental object itself.

摘要： The present invention in one embodiment is a device and method for flattening bottle caps from beverage containers. In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the bottle cap flattener includes a bottle cap positioner, a bottle cap holder, a bottle cap flattening tool, a motor and a positioning jig. The bottle cap positioner precisely locates a bottle cap so that the bottle cap flattening tool can interact with the bottle cap to flatten the bottle cap. The bottle cap positioner preferably includes a rotatable disk that is rotated by the motor. The bottle cap flattening tool applies pressure to a bottle cap through a tip to force the outer portion of the bottle cap into a flattened configuration along with the central portion of the bottle cap. The bottle cap holder applies force to a bottle cap located on the bottle cap positioner to hold the bottle cap in a precise relationship with the bottle cap positioner. Where the bottle cap positioner includes a rotating disk, the bottle cap holder applies force to a bottle cap located on the disk to hold the bottle cap on the disk. The positioning jig precisely locates the bottle cap on the friction surface of the disk so that the bottle cap can be acted on by the bottle cap flattening tool.
