    • The disclosed invention is a method for the production of a universal decontaminant solution comprised of at least one oxidant and halide salt for neutralizing chemical toxicants that include organosulfur and organophosphorus-containing compounds, such as those found as pesticides, herbicides, or chemical warfare agents, as well as providing disinfection capability against viruses, bacteria, spores, fungi, toxins, and those classified as biological warfare agents. The overall generation and application of the decontaminant solution creates an unexpected synergistic effect toward rates of detoxification, whereas in most cases where the same oxidants were used individually, the same result would not be achieved. A method for the in situ generation of hypochlorous acid and hypochlorite by a monopersulfate compound and alkali metal chloride salt is also described.

    • There is provided a seat cover for accommodating a child safety chair upon a seat. The seat cover comprises a lower protective member which is disposable upon a seating portion of the seat. This lower member can accommodate the child safety chair when positioned in a rearward-facing direction to prevent it from permanently compressing the seating portion. The seat cover further comprises an upper protective member that is disposable against a seat-back portion of the seat. This upper member is selectively attachable with and detachable from the lower member. By doing so, the upper member can further prevent the chair from permanently compressing the seat-back portion when it is repositioned in a forward-facing direction and placed in contact therewith.

    • A rack for retaining a plurality of modular accessory cubes at the rear of a motor vehicle includes a hitch mounted swing-away carrier supporting an upright post carrying a number of planar platforms which the cubes may be attached to. The cubes may have drawers for supporting equipment such as grills and the like useful for outdoor activities and other modules may comprise electronic entertainment equipment such as audio players, radio and TV receivers, and the like. The platforms and the bases of the modules are formed with complementary engaging sections for positioning the modules on the platform, and threaded fasteners projecting upwardly through the platforms may quickly allow the modules to be secured and released from the platforms.
