摘要： A terrain probe for scanning time behavior of stress waves in a medium by means of a piezoelectric element mounted in a hollow tubular pointed body. More particularly a constructional arrangement to locate measuring elements for evaluating the stress waves propagating in a medium to be examined. The tubular body includes moreover an electric conductor attached to the piezoelectric element and adapted for transmitting pulses corresponding to the wave characteristics to a recording apparatus. The scanning sensitivity of the piezoelectric element is enhanced in that the frequency of the latter oscillating between the walls of the tubular body is more than two digits higher than the frequency of the waves to be examined.
