摘要： An instrument for the measurement of energy or power with a high degree of precision. The voltage and current components of the power are determined individually. The voltage component is measured using a precise instrument such as an AC/DC comparator. The current component is measured in a current comparator in which it is balanced against current obtained by applying the voltage component to a high quality resistor and a high quality capacitor. The instrument is especially useful in the calibration of wattmeters and watt-hour meters.

摘要： This invention is directed to an improved apparatus for the accurate comparison of an ac voltage with an accurate dc voltage standard to obtain the RMS value of the ac voltage. The voltages are alternately applied to the first heater of a differential multijunction thermal converter. The voltage generated by the converter is applied to a feedback circuit which includes a series connected amplifier, integrator and inverter and wherein the sum of the amplifier and inverter outputs is applied to the second heater in the converter. A pair of sample-and-hold circuits are alternately connected to the inverter output such that they obtain dc voltages representative of the ac and dc voltages respectively. The difference between the representative dc voltages is applied to a zero-centre meter or recorder.

摘要： A detector-demodulator for current and voltage measuring devices having a modulated (reversing) output wherein the detectordemodulator incorporates time constant elements after the demodulation stage that permit the use of a fast acting detector and yet achieves a narrow bandwidth performance. The apparatus comprises first and second switches connected in parallel to the output of the measuring device, voltage storage means incorporating long time constant elements connected to each of the outputs of said switches, switch operating means for opening and closing said switches in a predetermined timing sequence, and means attached to the output of the voltage storage means for measuring the difference in the voltage levels stored in the voltage storage means. The timing sequence may be controlled manually or automatically and would be arranged such that the modulated output would be sampled only during a relatively steady-state period so that switching transients would not appear in the output.
