摘要： Disclosed is a TFT substrate for a display apparatus comprising a gate wiring including a gate electrode, a data wiring including a data line, a source electrode connected to the data line, and a drain electrode connected to a pixel electrode, and a semiconductor layer disposed between the gate wiring and the data wiring, wherein the semiconductor layer under the drain electrode is disposed within an area overlapping the gate electrode and the semiconductor layer under the source electrode extends outward to an area not overlapping the gate electrode. Advantageously, the present disclosure provides a TFT substrate for a display apparatus having a high aperture ratio and causing less afterimaging, and a manufacturing method of the same.

摘要： Liquid crystal display (LCD) devices are fabricated by forming a patterned gate layer on a substrate and forming an insulating layer, a semiconductor layer and a conductive layer on the patterned gate layer. The conductive layer is patterned to define a data line, a source electrode, a drain electrode and a pixel electrode for the LCD device. A passivation layer is formed on the patterned conductive layer. The passivation layer is removed from on at least a portion of the pixel electrode. At least a portion of the semiconductor layer between the data line and the pixel electrode is also simultaneously removed. LCD devices may thereby be fabricated with reduced numbers of patterning steps compared to conventional fabrication methods.

摘要： A liquid crystal display having an improved display characteristic and having a ring-structured storage capacitor of an independent wiring type wherein disconnection and/or short circuit defects are reduced and a method for manufacturing the same. The liquid crystal display has one or a plurality of first electrodes within each pixel region, for forming one or a plurality of auxiliary capacitors in conjunction with the opposing pixel electrode. The first electrodes surround the pixel electrodes in a ring type structure, and are connected to each other between adjacent pixel portions by at least one wiring connecting portion. The first electrodes are driven independently from the scanning signal lines and the display signal lines. Forming the first electrodes of the capacitors as independent wiring type having a ring structure simplifies the manufacturing process and utilizes the maximum pixel area. Also, the degree of freedom concerning the selection of the driving pulse signal of the liquid crystal display is improved to reduce the R-C delay.

摘要： An active matrix-type liquid crystal display is described having, for each pixel, a first electrode for a storage capacitor that is connected to a scanning signal line. The liquid crystal display can be repaired for disconnections and short inferiorities occurring in a crossing portion of the scanning signal line. A redundancy correcting line connects the capacitor electrodes of adjacent pixels. Also described is a double scanning signal line. The embodiments using the redundant connecting line and double scanning signal line are both repairable using a laser if imperfections exist. Thus, while maintaining high aperture and contrast ratios, the disconnections and shorts in the crossing portion of wirings can be minimized.
