    • A vehicular two-wheel/four-wheel drive switching device for selectively transmitting power or disconnecting the transmission of rotary power to a power transmission system having a driving shaft connected to the drive side and a driven shaft fitted to the driving shaft via respective inner and outer rings having an annular clearance therebetween. Plural connecting/disconnecting members provided in the clearance between the inner and outer rings for connecting or disconnecting the driving shaft and the driven shaft are fitted or disconnected to/from respective opposite surfaces in response to a switching mechanism for selectively positioning the connecting/disconnecting members in a position in which the driving shaft and the driven shaft are connected and in a position in which they are disconnected. A casing encloses the switching device, and an oil seal is provided in two locations at an interval in the longitudinal direction of the driven shaft.

    • To enhance assembly and maintenance of a rear wheel suspension. Rear wheel axles extend to the left and right from a final case supported on a rear portion of a vehicle body frame, and rear wheels are independently suspended from left and right portions of a vehicle body. On the left and right sides of the final case, the rear wheel axles are connected to a left-side joint and a right-side joint, and the left-side joint is detachably attached to a side surface of the final case by a separate holder fitted with a driven sprocket meshed with a chain. A joint portion shaft of the right-side joint is borne on the final case through a bearing, a brake disk is attached thereto, and the joint portion shafts are spline connected. In assembling or disassembling, the separate holder can be attached and detached through petal-like cutouts formed in the driven sprocket.

    • In a vehicle suspension system, suspension arms are attached to the right and left sides of a vehicle body frame, a knuckle is attached to the ends of the suspension arms, a front shock absorber is provided between the vehicle body frame and the suspension arm on each side of the frame, and a stabilizer bar is provided extending between the right and left suspension arms. The stabilizer bar extends between rigid right and left shock support members provided on the ends of the suspension arms. The rigid shock support members are coupled to the knuckle, and also support the lower ends of the front shock absorbers. Costs of the suspension system are reduced by providing the rigid support member in combination with the stabilizer bar, since the shape of a suspension arm can be simplified without requiring particular increase in rigidity.

    • A recess is formed on the side surface of output-side cams on the right side with through holes being formed on the sidewall of the case body of the differential case at positions corresponding to the recesses. An annular member is placed on the case body so as to be capable of moving, and projections are provided on the annular member so that they can be inserted into and pulled out of the recess via the through hole. The differential case and the right side output cam are rigidly joined by inserting the projection into the recess on the right side output cam through the through hole and thus the input-side block is not operated. Therefore, a power force is not transmitted to the left side output cam, and thus the differential function of the left and right drive wheels can be suspended.
