    • The present invention includes a toy figure that is hinged at the waist. The hinged waist permits the figure to pivot or move the top half of the body relative to the bottom half. A control mechanism controls the movement such that the figure will move from a standing position through a “somersault” ending back in a standing position again. In other embodiments the control mechanism can stop the movement or pose the figure in a position, such as a “headstand” or a position prior to a headstand. When the figure stops the movement prior to a headstand, the figure can prompt a user to assist the figure in completing the headstand. When the user helps the figure in completing the headstand, the figure could continue to perform a somersault or flip over.

    • The present invention includes a doll defined by an upper half hingedly attached to a lower half. A spring means attached to the upper and lower halves resiliently place the halves in a substantially planar position. A locking mechanism is included for retaining the halves in a substantially non-planar position, when the locking mechanism is engaged. A motor means is also attached to the upper and lower halves for moving the halves in a substantially non-planar position. When the motor means moves the upper and lower halves a predetermined distance, the locking mechanism engages and the upper and lower halves are maintained in the substantially non-planar position. The doll may be moved from a standing position into a sitting position; from a sitting position into a laying position; a laying position into a sitting position and a laying position into a laying position with the lower half angled upwardly.

    • The present invention includes a toy figure having a torso connected to a first leg and a second leg. A first motor is secured in the torso and is in communication with a first gear train, which is meshed to a fastener in the first leg, such that when the figure is in a standing position, the first motor causes the torso to move in relation to the first leg. A second motor is secured in the second leg and is in communication with a second gear train, which is rotatably attached to the torso such that when the figure is in the standing position, the second motor causes the second leg to move in relation to the first leg along the axis. A circuit board has pre-programmed instructions that when the figure is in the standing position controls the motors such that the figure walks across the surface.

    • In one embodiment the kisses that the doll may perform are “raspberry kisses”, “eskimo kisses” and regular kisses. To simulate a raspberry kiss a motor mechanism in the mouth of the doll causes the lips to vibrate, which causes a child to feel a tingling sensation when the child presses against the vibrating lips. To simulate an eskimo kiss the motor mechanism alternatively causes the head of the doll to move side-to-side, which when a child places their nose up against the doll's nose causes a rubbing feeling. The doll also includes a speaker to emit various sounds that coincide with the kisses. The doll will also give regular kisses that do not use the motor mechanism and are simply a kissing sound that emanates from the speaker. Various sensors or mechanical switches are used to activate the various kisses and sounds.
