    • A disk drive is disclosed comprising a head actuated over a disk comprising a plurality of spiral tracks. During a seek operation, a demodulation window is opened in response to a window offset during a first revolution of the disk, wherein the demodulation window corresponds to the head approaching a spiral track. A window position error signal (PES) is generated representing a difference between a target framing of the demodulation window around the spiral track crossing and a detected framing of the demodulation window around the spiral track crossing. The window offset is adjusted in response to the first window PES, and the demodulation window is opened in response to the adjusted window offset during a second revolution of the disk.

    • Tire pressure monitoring apparatuses, systems and method for adapting a tire pressure monitoring apparatus to be used with a plurality of valve stem configurations. Tire pressure monitoring transducers and sensors designed for use with a single valve stem design can be modified to universally accept a plurality of valve stems when coupled with the presently disclosed adapter. Use of an adapter of the presently disclosed subject matter can adapt a tire pressure monitoring apparatus such that it is suitable for use with a wide range of existing valve stems, including valve stems not originally designed to be used with the tire pressure monitoring apparatus. The adapter is suitable for use with tire pressure monitoring transducers and sensors.

    • Tamper-proof cap systems and methods for use with an access valve, such as a Schrader valve, are provided. A tamper-proof cap assembly for use with an access valve can include a cylindrical outer cap and a cylindrical inner cap, wherein the inner cap captively resides within and rotates freely within the outer cap. The inner cap of a tamper-proof cap assembly can threadingly receive the threaded end of an access valve. A tamper-proof cap system can include a tamper-proof cap assembly and a tool for manipulating the inner cap such that a user with the tool can manipulate the tamper-proof cap and screw it onto or off of an access valve. Without the tool the tamper-proof cap cannot be removed from the access valve.
