    • A rubber stabilizing base includes a sidewall of a worn out steel belted radial tubeless truck tire. The sidewall is annularly shaped, with an inner edge and an outer edge. An intermediate portion of the rubber stabilizing base contacts the inner edge of the sidewall and joins the sidewall to the intermediate portion. A circumferential wall is connected to the intermediate portion. Both the intermediate portion and the circumferential wall are annular, and the circumferential wall includes at least one locking lip adapted to be engaged with the traffic channelizer drum to thereby connect the traffic channelizer drum to the unitary stabilizing base. An inner portion of the rubber stabilizing base has one or more steps disposed thereon. The steps are grippable by the hand of a user to facilitate easy movement of the rubber stabilizing base.

    • A universal sign holder for mounting and supporting a display sign on a sign supporting base. The universal sign holder is configured for direct connection to a conventional sign supporting base which has a plurality of outwardly extending support legs. The universal sign holder includes a mast which has a lower section and an upper section. A support platform is attached to the mast for retaining a lower edge of the display sign. An alignment bracket is provided above the support platform and is also secured to the mast. The alignment bracket is used to prevent lateral movement and rotation of the display sign relative to the mast. A retaining device is used to secure the vertical frame member against the mast and within the alignment bracket such that the display sign is secured and maintained in proper display position.

    • An eye drop application aid for self-application of droplets of ophthalmic solution by an individual includes a housing having a top, side walls and an open bottom, with the lower periphery of the side walls being contoured to conform to the facial area surrounding the eye socket. The housing top includes an eye drop dispenser seat with a central droplet discharge aperture therethrough for receiving and supporting the dispensing end of an eye drop dispenser. A vertical alignment indicator is mounted on the housing in view of the eye being treated to achieve vertical alignment of the eye drop dispenser end before dispensing droplets of ophthalmic solution to insure accurate application of the droplets to the eye. An eye distracting orifice in the housing top in view of the eye being treated focuses the eye's attention on the orifice instead of the dispenser end to avoid premature blinking before the droplet has contacted the eye. Removeably mounted dispenser seats are utilized to permit interchangeability of differently configured dispenser seats to accommodate dispensers of differing configurations.

    • A transporting apparatus transports tubing in a forward direction. A tubing cutter is disposed along the transporting apparatus, and is activated at predetermined time intervals to cut a source of tubing into cut tubing portions as the source of tubing is being transported past the tubing cutter along the transporting apparatus. A first sensor is disposed along the transporting apparatus for detecting the leading edge of the cut tubing portion as the cut tubing portion passes by the first sensor on the transporting apparatus. A second sensor detects the leading edge of the cut tubing portion at a subsequent time. A length determiner determines the length of the cut tubing portion, based upon a first amount of time between two activations of the tubing cutter that were used to cut the front and rear portions of the cut tubing portions. The length determiner also measures a second amount of time between detections of the leading edge of the cut tubing portion by the first sensor and by the second sensor. The tubing length is determined using the first and second amounts of time.
