    • A computerized method of generating evidence based case object for a decision support application. The method comprises providing a medical decision point, generating a decision point model mapping between a plurality of patient dependent clinical characteristics and a plurality of treatment options for the medical decision point according to a plurality of guidelines, estimating, using a processor, a plurality of treatment outcomes for each the treatment option, each the treatment outcome being estimated according to an analysis of medical records of a group of patients been at the medical decision point and having a subset of the plurality of patient dependent clinical characteristics selected from a plurality of subsets, and generating evidence based case object which receive patient data having patient dependent clinical characteristics matching one of the plurality of subsets and outputs an estimated prognosis based on a respective treatment outcome from the plurality of treatment outcomes.

    • A method and system for querying a Health Level 7 (HL7) data repository which stores entries in HL7 Reference Information Model (RIM) terminology across multiple HL7 domains. The method includes: receiving a query input to retrieve data from the repository, wherein the query input is in a query language, converting the query input to a RIM query, and retrieving data from the repository using the RIM query. The RIM query expresses the query input using RIM physical classes and RIM codes. The method also includes converting retrieved RIM instances from the repository to a domain readable format. Providing the data repository includes receiving data for input in the data repository, wherein the data for input is defined at a domain level as a domain instance, and converting a domain instance to a RIM instance and inputting the RIM instance in the data repository.

    • Method, system, and computer program product for personalized medical content recommendation are provided. The method may comprise having a patient medical profile; having a concept or relationship relating to the patient medical profile; obtaining medical content relevant to the concept or relationship; determining a score of the concept or relationship to the patient medical profile; enhancing the score with a context score based on the values of attributes of the concept or relationship in the patient medical profile; enhancing the score with an additional knowledge score based on knowledge of the concept or relationship additional to the medical content; recommending medical content with respect to a patient medical profile based on the enhanced scores. The method may also include providing an explanation of a medical content recommendation based on a matching concept or relationship.

    • A method for presenting dynamic information to the user in conjunction with a mouse pointer in a graphical user interface is provided. The dynamic information is generated by applications and services that would like to notify the user about various events. Once a configuration is loaded, events from applications are waited upon. Upon receipt of an event from an application, the system determines if the event is to be displayed, and when it is, processes the event and prepares an event message to be displayed. The event message is then displayed next to the mouse pointer without interfering with the user's current activity. The event message can take the form of an icon, graphic, text or a combination of any one or more of the above.
