    • A flow rate meter for determining the mass or flow rate of flowing air, having a temperature-dependent measuring resistor disposed in an air bypass conduit. The air bypass conduit has a convergent portion in the region of the measuring resistor in which the air flow is accelerated. As a result of the air flow the effects of any air disturbances upon the measuring element are reduced. The following geometric relationships are advantageous: l.sub.1 /l.sub.s >3.8, l.sub.1/2 >1.5, l.sub.1 /1.sub.3 >2.0, l.sub.1/4 >9.0, l.sub.5 /l.sub.s >1.5, l.sub.5 /l.sub.6 =1.7 to 1.9, b.sub.1 /b.sub.s >40.0, b.sub.1 /b.sub.2 >2.0, l.sub.1 /b.sub.1 >3.5, and l.sub.5 /b.sub.3 =5.5 to 6. The air flow rate meter is especially suitable for determining the mass or flow rate of aspirated air in mixture-compressing engines with externally supplied ignition as well as air-compressing, self-igniting engines.

    • Known tank flanges have a main filter which has a filter housing with an inlet and an outlet, and a first connecting duct for connecting the main filter to a feed unit. The filter housing is integrated in the tank flange, and filter fabric is inserted into the filter housing and the filter housing is closed off by a filter cover. The inlet of the filter housing is connected to the pressure side of a feed unit and the outlet leads to an internal combustion engine. A disadvantage is that, in order to exchange the filter fabric, the large-area filter cover must be opened, as a result of which a large amount of fuel vapor is dissipated to the atmosphere. In the case of the tank flange according to the invention, the exchangeability of the main filter is simplified by virtue of the main filter being embodied as a filter cartridge. It is provided according to the invention that the inlet of the main filter extends into the first connecting duct of the tank flange and therein forms a sealed connection.

    • A device for feeding combustion air to an engine disposed in an interior of an aircraft is comprised of a primary air inlet duct extending between an exterior surface of the aircraft and the engine, wherein the air inlet duct extends from air inlets disposed in a first region of the exterior surface; at least two further air inlet ducts extending between a second and third region of the exterior surface and the engine, so as to provide a three-way combustion air supply; and a control device configured to switch the air supply to the engine from either or both of the at least two further air inlets duct when a blockage occurs in the primary air inlet.
