摘要： A cleansing composition is disclosed that is particularly suited for compaction into tablet form, and comprises a phosphate salt, an improved perborate salt mixture wherein the improvement comprises a combination of anhydrous perborate and monohydrate perborate in the amount of about 50% to about 70% by weight of the total cleansing composition, wherein the combination includes at least 20% by weight of the total cleansing composition of anhydrous perborate, said combination having a portion present in a compacted granulated mixture with from about 0.01% to about 0.70% by weight of said combination of a polymeric fluorocarbon, said cleansing composition being capable of cleansing stained surfaces and the like with a soaking time of five minutes or less when dissolved in aqueous solution and producing a marked improvement in clarity of solution upon disintegration over the prior art.

摘要： A method is disclosed for the preparation of granulated perborate salts having improved utility in compressible compositions such as those formed into denture cleanser tablets. The method broadly comprises forming a mixture of one or more perborate salts such as sodium perborate monohydrate and anhydrous sodium perborate, with a polymeric fluorocarbon such as polytetrafluoroethylene, with the polytetrafluoroethylene present in an amount ranging from about 0.01% to about 0.70% by weight of the perborate salt. The particles thus prepared exhibit combination of improved hardness and specific weight that facilitates their participation in the compressible cleanser composition, together with enhanced disintegration characteristics that are favorably imparted to the cleanser tablets.The present invention also includes the granular salts prepared by the method, which have a broad range of utility in detergents, cleansers and the like.

The cleanser is preferably dispensed from a mechanical non-aerosol spraying device such that the force of the spray supplements the cleansing effect of the composition. The composition has particular application on the removal of tartar and calculus as well as stains and plaque adhering thereto.

摘要： A cleansing composition is disclosed with household and personal care applications and comprises a monopersulfate oxidizing agent and a halide bleaching promoter, to which is added an effervescence promoting compound comprising a perborate salt. The resulting composition is operable and capable of effervescing at an alkaline pH, at which it is also a more effective cleanser.In a further embodiment, the above cleansing composition may include a colorant and a fade control agent comprising a compound providing a soluble halide ion for applications where it is desirable that the color provided by the colorant will fade within a given period of time. Small quantities of the fade control compound are effective, and do not disturb the desired initial color intensity of the solution provided by the colorant.
