摘要： A combined mobile phone and pager, and a corresponding method and network for implementing the mobile phone/pager is disclosed. The mobile phone/pager includes a mobile phone portion, which has an on/off switch. The mobile phone/pager also has a pager portion, and a relay. The relay is operationally connected to the pager portion and the on/off switch of the mobile phone portion for turning on the on/off switch upon receipt of a paging signal by the pager. A paging signal transmitted from a paging station is received through the pager portion. The pager portion then activates the relay, thereby turning on the on/off switch, and activating the mobile phone. The mobile phone portion may be turned off between calls to conserve battery power.

摘要： A system, method and computer-readable medium for allocating multiple subscriptions to a single mobile terminal thereby allowing concurrent termination of multiple calls at the mobile terminal are provided. A mobile terminal adapted to terminate multiple concurrent calls is described. In one implementation, a network need not have any configuration data regarding the multi-line capabilities of the mobile terminal. In other implementations, network-centric mechanisms are provided for allowing multiple concurrent calls to be terminated by a mobile terminal. Multiple concurrent calls may be terminated at a mobile terminal on separate carrier frequencies or alternatively may be terminated on a common carrier frequency.

The method may also include comparing the candidate DIP to a pre-stored DIP and determining a match between the candidate DIP and the pre-stored DIP. The method may also include applying a restriction to a mobile station operated by a driver of the vehicle responsive to the match determination.

Users of an enterprise or other closed networks as well as users that are not part of a closed network may send short messages destined to members of an enterprise or closed network from their mobile or other devices associated with their subscription using an alternative enterprise directory number, such as the office number, instead of the mobile number, such that the alternative number will be presented at the destination device as the originating number. The recipient may respond to the message by addressing the response to the enterprise or closed network number, and the response may be delivered to the originator's mobile or other device associated with their subscription.
